Hi Brutus. The amalgam could well be an issue for you. For me the response to amalgam was very quick - within 2 years I had serious anxiety disorder - but I believe different people respond to the amalgam differently. It depends on how resistant the body is to toxins and how sensitive it is to mercury. I believe I have low resistance to toxins (can get tipsy on alcohol quickly and sore eyes and throat around cigarette smoke) and I think I am very sensitive to the mercury and don't excrete toxins very quickly.
If your resistance level to toxins is better than mine and you excrete toxins very quickly, then it would probably take you a lot longer to get to the stage of mercury poisoning.
I always did well at school and was very disciplined academically, but since I got a root canal filling a few years ago, I find it very hard to concentrate.
I've also always had sleeping problems and constantly tired. Very often I wake up like I haven't slept at all.
My experience also is that conventional doctors are very ignorant on this issue. it would probably be better to go to a doctor that acknowledges the problem, but you may be lucky and have a foreward thinking doctor.
I too get the "not caring" about things and taking care of myself is sometimes an effort.
Let us know how you get on.
