I love certain herbs and vegetables and eating certain meats.
Yes some where Jews some where Gentiles.
But I still stick by what I wrote above and there is much more on that subject in full detail.
Plus it's O.K. to refuse to eat a food at someones house because your allergic to it or it's unhealthy or unclean then and still unclean now, it's the same foods as before and..
I agree with Dr Becker on that same food.
Yet, I agree with this right here too..
And this is my point not just my thoughts on it.
I will begin the response with Romans 14. The apostle Paul made some statements in this chapter that must be kept in context. The context is established in the beginning of the chapter. Paul was not establishing new doctrine in this chapter. Everything in Romans 14 is in agreement with the rest of the scripture or else these passages would not be scripture that is profitable for doctrine.

But with Adam and Eve, what they ate/digested was a matter of life and death for them. What we eat can heal us or kill us.

A person can choose to eat what they want to we all have the gift of freedom of choice.
But glad your not into oysters lobster and crab.
Lobsters expecially can taste great expecially with melted butter.. Yum!
But it's still unclean by bibical standards and Paul in writing letters in regard to people's issues before our time can be confusing or easily misunderstood and he admitted that himself.
Peter confirmed it too, so to get a good idea about where Paul stands is to understand the culture of that time the people he was addressing and compare it to his other letters..
More people have an issue with Paul because of the things he wrote back then then about anybody else in the Bible.
Like on the subject of women in the church etc..
