Hi Abishag, (((( Smiles ))))

Do we have to stick to the subject of food as now I'm getting hungry before bedtime but.....
I like cornbread and use to eat lobster not much into oyster.
And lots of catfish etc are full of mercury these days.
They had to go destroy a good food like fish.
But the meaning of Peters vision and what that vision meant.
It had to do with the Jews and the Gentiles which were considered unclean.
It gives the interesting account of the Gentile Cornelius who prayed for the truth.
Peter had the vision and did not know what the vision meant. Verse 17.
Behold three men seek and on the way to Cornelius house the Lord answered Pauls wondering and showed him the meaning of the vision.
And Paul entered the house full of gentiles.
As verse 28 says: You know that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God had showed me..

And here's the meaning of the vision...
That I should not call any man common or unclean."
So God clarified the visions meaning and it had nothing to do with diet. But instead..
It was a sign that the gospel was to be preached to the gentiles who were made clean.
"What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
It was symbolic in meaning but understood by the Jews..

Here it is in full.
