Hi Tracy. Do you think you could have had a migraine attack? For me, these would come out of the blue. The first sign would be visual disturbance. I would get like a tiny gold star/dot in front of my eyes. This would then slowly grow until my vision was totally distorted by flashes of light. The flashes would typically go after about 30 minutes, then I would have a terrible headache and nausea so bad I would vomit. The first time I had this I was about 12 (same age as when I got the OCD). I often had to go home from school because of it, and would sometimes just sit in the bathroom and be sick). I started to get tremors also and light sensitivity the same time.

I had something weird happen to me when I was about 11. I took part in a local charity event, which was to run around a building in fancy costume, and that night I was so ill and had to go to bed as I felt dizzy and just rough (can't remember exactly, only I had never had anything like it before). My parents put it down to over-heating in the sun, but I now think it was the mercury - a warning of what was to come.
