The Earth;
Unique in all the Universe

By: Jerry Bergman PhD (updated; February 2008)

The extremely fine line between an environment where life can and cannot exist is illustrated by the fact that it is estimated a five-degree temperature change in the average worldwide temperature would, in time, seriuosly affect life on earth.

Some very interesting information regarding:
1) The Earth, 2) The Sun, 3) Miracle of water 4) Miracle of Air

5)Adaptation to Environment or Creation of environment for life?

Conclusion ---

Be enlightened! The Scriptures declare that, "God...formed the Earth..to be inhabited." (Isaiah 45:18) bible

--HOW GOD REVEALS HIMSELF~~
---(Please Read/ Romans 1:18-21)

Look at the delicate veins of an oak leaf, and you experience the beauty of God. Observe the storm-whipped surf beating against a beach, and you witness His power.
The Lord’s sense of order is revealed in the march of the seasons and the precise tilt and turning of the earth. People need to look no farther than nature to understand that God is real.

Romans tells us that the revelation of the Lord in nature is sufficient to render inexcusable those who would deny His existence (Rom. 1:20). There’s no reasonable explanation for the creation of the material universe other than an omnipotent God putting it all together. The matter and splendor of His existence had to come from Someone.

But nature can’t give us a full revelation—creation does not show the Lord’s holiness or eternity. That is why He gave us His Word. The Bible reveals God’s character, records His laws, and explains His expectations for the faithful. In its pages, we can learn about our Father and the kind of life He wants us to lead. “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16).

Scripture teaches about the living Word—Jesus Christ—who is the full revelation of God. The heavenly Father wanted to ensure that humanity could know Him intimately, so to make Himself known, He sent His Son clothed in flesh. Jesus said, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” (John 14:7). Spend time in Bible study and prayer to know your Father better.

---THE POWER OF ENCOURAGEMENT ~~

"The whole
assembly became
silent as they
listened to Barnabas
and Paul telling
about the signs and
wonders God had done."
--(Acts 15:12)-- bible

---LIKE A CHILD learning to paint, Paul didn't have much credibility early on in his ministry, but Barnabas affirmed his calling. It was through Barnabas' encouragement that the church accepted Saul as a fellow believer (Acts 9:27). Barnabas would also encourage the fledgling church of Antioch, helping it to become one of the most influential in the book of Acts (11:22-13). And it was through Barnabas's encouragement, as well as Paul's, that the Jerusalem church embraced the Gentile believers as Christians (15:10). So, in many ways, the story of the early church is really a story of encouragement.

The same should apply to our own lives. We might think encouragement is merely saying something nice to someone. But if we think that way, we fail to recognize the lasting power it possesses. It's one of the means by which God shapes our individual lives as well as the life of the Church.

Let's thank Jehovah G-D for the moments we receive encouragement and strive to pass it along to others. ~~

"Lord Jesus, thank you for working in and through us and other believers, as we encourage our brothers and sisters in the faith, to know Who You truly are, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. Yes, LORD, You are Above All! In Christ Alone, amen"

---TO GOD BE THE GLORY ~~

--"Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake."
---(Psalm 115:1)-- bible

---ONE OF the great words of the Bible is the word "glory," and it should be evident that glory belongs to God, not man. Indeed, the very "heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:1). Not only do the heavens declare His glory, but "his glory [is] above the heavens" (113:4), and "the glory of the LORD shall endure for ever" (104:31). In heaven the mighty hosts of angels "give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name" (29:2).

It is thus singularly inappropriate for God's servants on Earth to seek glory for themselves. "Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the Earth; for in these things I delight, saith the LORD" (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

This Old Testament exhortation is echoed in the New "God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;...That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:27, 29-31).

As our text reminds us, God manifests His glory to us today in both mercy and truth, mercifully saving us in Christ, who is Himself God's truth (John 14:6). Thus, in Christ "mercy and truth are met together" (Psalm 85:10), and we shall "praise thy name for the lovingkindness and for thy truth" (Psalm 138:2).
