So I was taking a dump, which came out yellow, like that wasn't a bad enough way to start the day, the light bulb in the toilet explodes above me. I think this is an incandescent bulb but I am not 100% sure. The glass is clear, and from what I have seen all energy saving bulbs(halogen and mercury) have white glass. I could only make out about 1/3rd of the printing on the glass, not enough information to make it conclusive. Is there some way I can identify it's definitely not a mercury containing bulb to put my paranoia at rest? Also from what I've seen halogen bulbs look like incandescent but the mercury bulbs have either multiple long thin rods or the bulb is all twisted.

Yes, the mercury bulbs are made up of small coiled rods, so it should be easy to identify because the broken glass should look a lot different than that from an incandescent bulb. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.dbtechno.com/images/CFL_bulb_mercury.jpg)
