My molars have very large amalgman fillings and cracks in the teeth with probably decay under the fillings which usually leak. Some of my teeth are sore to bite with from time to time. Dentist said I better do something about this. When these amalgmans are taken out, the structure of the tooth will require a crown- I guess for support. Some of the teeth may not need crowns.
