Last fall the Supreme Court upheld the constitution with its landmark decision in the Citizens United v Federal Election Commission case. The ruling said that it was illegal to restrict organizations and corporations from funding political advertisements. The court said that First Amendment rights would be infringed upon.

This decision was met with extreme opposition from Democrats. President Obama even publicly flogged the Supreme Court at his state of the union address. Apparently the constitution is something they neither respect nor care to obey because the first step for the left was to introduce a new bill to lawmakers. The ‘Disclosure’ Act HR5175. The bill attempts to roll back the decision made by the Supreme Court, but just how far do they want to roll it back?

HR5175 will not just prohibit organizations from supporting elections; it will go further and actually make it illegal to criticize a candidate at all. Under the bill, any individual person that has given over $600 to an organization that has supported any type of campaign activity must be named. The bill still goes further yet and any person that runs an advertisement that criticizes any ‘clearly defined’ candidate will be breaking the law.

That’s right; there will be legal consequences for you to say anything bad about a candidate. This is a tyrannical attempt to limit free speech. The democrats would like nothing more than to shove their agenda down your throat without you even being able to say one thing about it!

Some organizations might be able to become exempt from the effects of this bill. Organizations with more than a million members; that raised 15 percent or less funding from corporations; that have members in all 50 states; and that have been around at least 10 years are exempt. That’s pretty specific; there is only one organization that fits those criteria, The NRA. Well what do you know! The backroom deals keep flowing out of Washington. The NRA used their bought and paid for politicians to get a special exemption from the bill. Basically, the NRA, who advocates Second Amendment rights, had no compunction in throwing smaller organizations and more importantly, the First Amendment, under the bus!

Enough is enough, when are the special deals and corruption going to end! The bottom line is that is time for elected officials to start representing the people of the United States and not their own wallets!

Tell them all that they need to stand up for what is right! THE CONSTITUTION! Tell them that we are sick and tired of loopholes and special deals! Tell them to do what is right or they are gone, we won’t take it anymore!
