God's Calling Us to...
BELIEVE AND
BE SAVED ~~"You have been saved by grace through believing. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God, not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9--

This is what the Gospel is: God is not mad at His people, and if other people will go to Him, He will not be mad at them either because of the cross.
We hate that. We want to pay, so off to work we go; it's really important that we not owe. The sign of man's fall is this tendency to be drawn into an "I can earn it" mentality. We have to fight that all the time. If we allow God's spirit to speak to us, the most dangerous thing we can say is," Lord, show me myself," because He will do it.
I think fallen nature is manifested for the Christian not so much in terms of the sins we commit, but in terms of the purity we commit. The danger is that we can become pharisaical.
You've never met a man who wants to be obedient more than I do, and I'm better at it than I used to be. But Jesus didn't die to make me nice; He died to make me His. And out of that flows any obedience that I have.~~

God's Calling...
FOR ME -
God has already done the work of our salvation. We could never save ourselves, could never get it right or even come close. The good news is we don't have to. Jesus has paid the ultimate, and perfect, sacrifice for all our sins and all the sins of the whole world. We just have to believe [have faith].
Calling Out..
TO GOD--
"Help me to rest in Your work on the cross. You have already done what we could never do for ourselves. Thank you, our Lord and Saviour Jesus."
