Hi Paul,

I've been in a similar situation. It is difficult I know. In the end, for me personally? I wound up doing it my way. I went back onto the DMSA Cutler style, because the prescribed detox I was given was not working out and in fact making symptoms intolerable. I gave it a try though, but it was making me really sick.

Your mercury blood levels will decline naturally in the first 3 months after the last amalgam removal even if you do nothing. DMSA is an optional help during this and may make things easier, more efficient and quicker. But, it is the ALA that is essential once blood levels are down (after the 3 months) and it's safe to start using it.

Sauna will do probably do much the same job as DMSA anyway. So if you can't get DMSA, then stick with sauna, but never do more than you can handle. Go easy on yourself. If you can get DMSA online, then it may help this process along and may help control some of the symptoms also as it grabs the mercury.

Chlorella maybe healthy in many aspects, but for me, due to the mercury I had, it was quite intolerable. I had many backlashes from that, because I kept trying to use it. Yes, it does move mercury, but for some, it maybe far too much. I must have been already high in sulfur or something. Some find the stuff is great. But it was a big risk for me. I finally quit it.

As for the homeopathic remedies he's suggesting, it sounds like "HEELS" detox kit. I have used this in the past. Very potent stuff. Stimulates the organ systems of elimination and I believe it strengthens them. You might be surprised at what this stuff can do. It most definitely does help your body release toxins, but it is easy to go overboard. A little goes a long way with this stuff. I learned for me that I could not take the suggested amounts, nor remain on it for long periods, because my body could not keep up with the amount of toxins/metals being released. So I started off with a much less amount of drops but in the same amount of water they had suggested. And followed the direction to drink it throughout the day. When I found things getting too much? I was silly enough to try and keep going and would often flood my body which could not keep up with amount of toxins being released. You start to listen to your body more over time and you realise it is more important to do that than to rigidly stick to fulfilling the complete regime. It is pointless to keep pushing yourself, as it achieves nothing, other than your body then having to try and deal with the aftermarth. I would see how you go with this.

If you find yourself getting too many symptoms like myself, and things are out of control? Then it may not be wise to continue, unless you find a lower dose is the key and you can handle that. This is where sauna may also help, because it is helpful to eliminate toxins via the pores.

I'm not sure about the OSR because I don't know enough about it. I would check what it contains. Find this out because you have a right to know.

For me, regardless of the detoxes I tried, or suggested or prescribed regimes, I found that Andy Cutler's protocol was the one that seemed to work the best and keep symptoms at a tolerable level. It was when I used his protocol, even with DMSA alone, that I was making more steady progress. Though I did other things that helped it along. Like moderate exercise to stimulate circulation and sweating, which also helped release toxins, hot baths with epsom salts (or baking soda and sea salt), which also helped release toxins via the pores. Good quality antioxidants (mainly C, E and selenium), fish oil (mercury free). and a good diet which included consuming more raw foods (fruits/vegetables), no gluten/wheat products or yeast, no sugar, and making sure I got enough good protein foods in eggs/meat and of coures fats like butter.

I did mess around sometimes and did try other ways of detoxing, but again, always went back to Cutler's. I remember being prescribed a plan by a professional for detoxing mercury, and again, my symptoms were intolerable. I had to finally quit, and I went back onto DMSA and was able to actually heal the reaction! So not only does it chelate, but it can also help improve a bad redistribution reaction from something else. I often used it in emergency type backlash situations to help me recover from them.

But again, all in all, ALA seems to be THE final way to go with chelation of brain and other organs. But never when blood levels are still too high. Everything else you do should be to aid your body in healing from this condition and are highly important also. Some people have found diet, exercise (moderate), and herbal cleanses to be crucial to their overall gradual recovery from this condition. Parasite cleanses, bowel cleanses, and even the homeopathic cleanses you are doing may help, as long as they don't create too many symptoms. You need to help your body detox, build and recover with the right materials as you chelate the mercury.

Bottom line is, it is your body! So no professional can force a protocol on you that you are not happy about. You have every right to go elsewhere or use a protocol that better suits you.
