Hi,

I know one filling does not sound like much, but yes it can be significant in some people. E.g., in a book by Hal Huggins, he mentions a young healthy guy who was an athlete at school, into all sports, great grades etc. Suddenly following some dental work, he became a pale, sickly mess and had to pull out of all his activities.

He had only ONE small pit filling. After it was removed, he came back to health. So yes, one small filling, can in some cases, be a significant problem. This may not just be the mercury vapor that comes off (which is coming out 24/7), but also a direct response/reaction to the metals themselves being in the mouth. It could be an ongoing immune reaction to them, and maybe they are disrupting the flow of energy in the body.

There is no reason why one small filling should be considered insignificant, when you consider the toxic metals that are in there. Even if it were not due to accummulation of those toxins in your tissues, your body could be reacting directly to the metals themselves. Some people do. I cannot even have metal on my body in the form of jewellergy/watches etc (junk metal). So what on earth would it do sitting in my mouth 24/7? even if it's not causing a local reaction in the mouth itself, it could be creating a disruption internally.

I feel for you because you are rightly afraid of unprotected exposure during removal. If you can try and get the dentist to at least give you "some" protection, you maybe able to do this. E.g. an alternative breathing source, perhaps some padding over the eyes. Anything he can possibly offer you. Many dentists do not believe in mercury poisoning, or refuse to admit to it, so it makes it difficult. But, you are the patient, you are the person paying for this service, so you have the absolute right to request as much protection as he can provide you, regardless of his personal beliefs and that you would like every bit of it removed from your mouth! You could actually tell him you feel you are "hypersensitive" and would have greater peace of mind having a protected and thorough removal.

There are risks to teeth extraction also. Because you can develop a cavitation in the jaw from this if the dentist does not remove the periodontal ligament as well as the tooth. Many dentists leave the ligament behind and this is basically dead tissue. In doing this, it hinders/blocks proper healing in that area, basically proper bone growth after the tooth is gone. So instead, the area will leave a hole there and in that hole can develop potent bacteria. If this bacteria becomes a systemic problem because the body cannot keep it in check, a person can actually become even sicker than they might with mercury! In fact, Hal Huggins said that cavitation patients are sicker than mercury poisoned ones.

So the main causes or contributing factors to the development of cavitations are periodontal ligaments being left behind, instead of being removed. And the use of vaso constrictors in local anaesthetics.

If you are going to have any teeth removed, make sure you insist on a local anaesthetic WITHOUT a vaso constrictor and make sure you get the dentist to remove the ligament. Then you will have a better chance of healing in that area.

The reason vaso constrictors can contribute to cavitations or even dead teeth is, they work by reducing blood flow to the area, which apparently heightens and lengthens the "numbing" intensity and time. This is supposedly helpful....however, I must say that I have not found this with them at all to be honest. I have done fine with locals NOT containing vaso constrictors. If anything, I found the vaso containing ones appeared to give me some alarming effects (like heart pounding from adrenaline). In fact, I nearly passed out onetime in the dental chair after an oral surgeon kept giving me more and more of it because it was not working properly as it was instead doing something to my heart and this I believe was affecting me from being numb to the pain.

Periodontal ligaments simply sit in the socket after the tooth is pulled out without anymore purpose, since there is no tooth there anymore. They are a little like an "ambilical cord" if you like. Since they have no purpose, they basically rot, like having dead tissue in the socket. They must be removed!

If you can, I would try and get the amalgam removed and see what protection this regular dentist may provide you with, even if it is not up to 'biologic dental' standards. I hate to put you at risk however, and if you really feel strongly about it, then removal of the tooth maybe the only other option, but just make sure that this is done correctly too.

To let you know, that there are biologic dentists now who prepare their patients for removal by getting them on a healthy diet and supplement programme. You can do this for yourself from home to some extent. This will help prepare your body and make you stronger to cope with the situation as it is, and to cope with the removal of the filling or the tooth much better and your body will be in a better position to heal.

Often removing sugar/yeast/gluten (which is in many grains, mainly wheat). This means getting all junkfood and fizzy drinks etc out of your diet. Cakes/cookies/sweets etc etc. Anything containing these things. Also remove coffee from your diet. Do not consume fish, because this is another source of mercury and if you want to detox mercury, you need to remove as much of its intake as possible. Because it can hinder detox.

Include healthy natural foods, and some raw if possible (with raw fruits/vegetables). Increasing some protein foods like eggs and meats. Hal Huggins mentions the importance of this in his book. Making sure you get enough natural butter in there too, which is apparently helpful to the mercury toxic person, I have personally found it very healing for me. He mentions having salt also, as some people exclude it and he believes this is not good.

Doing this alone can cause a person to start detoxing, so you may find you feel worse for awhile as toxins inside you can start to shift and come out. This can make quite a significant difference to a person. It may not do much, it may do alot, but it is well worth trying.

A dentist in my country will not actually do any dental work on his sick patients, until he has outlined a diet and supplement programmed and gotten them stronger first. Many sick/poisoned patients have a problem with candida and gluten intolerance, so treating these with the appropriate diet and supplements can help alot and also reduce the toxic load on the gut and liver. If they refuse? He will refuse to do the work on them. Because he does not feel that a person already very toxic and weak is ready to get dental work like this done. He does not want to make a person worse in the process. This is why he insists on preparation.
