" For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among you.
----Matthew 18:20

He GAVE! God the Father Loves You So Much he Gave His Only Begotten Son. God says I love you soooooo I love you Soooo
what a wonderful gift.
God took the death penalty payed the price for the redemption of our sinful fallen state of being and if God can handle the sins of the whole world
He could handle yours and He can handle mine too.
Except the gift or either it's all on us and what a heavy load that would be to bare as He paid a tremendous price indeed.
I'm just awed by it all...
Which reminds me...
This is a good article to share for this time of year...

Passover honors ability to achive the impossible...
By Rabbi Raleigh Resnick...

On Monday evening,
Jewish familys across the globe will join together to celebrate the start
of the eight - day holiday of Passover.

Why is the holiday,
which commemorates the miraculous exodus of the ancient Israelities
from oppression and bitter enslavement in the year 1312 B.C.,
called Passover ?

The Bible relates ( Exodus , chapter 12) that on the evening before the exodus...
God killed all the firstborn sons of Egypt as final punishment for the tyrannical conduct of their nation..

Yet God " jumped over " or " passed over " the homes of the Israelites, sparring the lives.
Thus, this holiday is dubbed Passover as thanks to God for the salvation of the slaved Israelities.

Judism believes that everything in life--
every piece of information our minds aquire and every occurrence our senses
expirence-- is meant for us to use as a tool with which we better our lives and the lives of thoses around us.

Even seemingless trivial and historical fact, such as the name of this holiday,
carries within it a timeless message and lesson we can incorporate within our lives 3,319 years after the original passover.

Let us look at what passing over or jumping over can teach us;
When walking or running , one foot may leave the ground but the other remains firmly planted to provide the forward impetus.

The movement may be small or great, slow or swift,
but in all cases each step is a result of the one before it.

Metaphorically , this represents our steady journey through life wherein
wisdom we acquire from yesterday's expirence equips us to better furthur
our mission and move steadily forward into tomorrow.

While walking or running can certainly take us to a desired destination,
they can only enable us to reach a goal that is within the original sphere
of the starting point.

A jump on the other hand-- in which both feet simultaneously leave the ground --
represents a quantum leap and implies a break from the past.
Rather than incremental steps,
the jump passes over and transcends space..

Metaphorically , this refers to our God- given ability to believe or,
as it is termed, " take a leap of faith. "

The strength of not only understanding an idea but believing in it,
allows us to reach a seemingly impossible goal.

Many of the world's greatest discoveries were propelled and brought
about by the faith and conviction that the status quo can be changed.

Thus on Passover we celebrate our ability to not only grow,
but to leap ; our ability to achieve the impossible;
our ability to have faith in goodness and morality;
and our ability to believe that we can make a difference in the world.

With this frame of mind we can and will transcend the trails and tribulations placed before us and together we will witness
the triump of truth,
justice and everlasting peace...

As the Rabbi and thoses of the Jewish faith will be celebrating Passover..
Christians will be celebrating our Passover as well...

Where religions intersect as the Old Testament is important to Christians
as well and as we honor Yeshua / Jesus as the blood Passover sacrificial
lamb that brought us to knowing the Father..

Brought us to knowing the old Testament and to be connected in many ways from Genesis to Malachi ....
as it was Yeshua /Jesus who brought us to the importance of the old Testament and knowing the Father ..

And Israel will issue a postage stamp 15- Shekel featuring the fish mosiac
church.. Which is important to us.. With understanding otherwise..
They would not issue the stamp at all..

They " Did Just So "..
This is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments.
{ 1 John 5:3 }

" God is love. " All who come to know God and obey his commandments
gain a deep appreciation for the depth of that love.

" The love is in this respect , not that we have loved God ,
but that he loved us and sent forth his Son as a propitiatory
sacrifice for our sin's."

As we exercise faith in Jesus' precious ransom sacrifice, we rain in God's love.
{ 1 John 4:8-10,16 }

Thus we may enjoy a wealth of spiritual blessings now and in the system
of things to come , everlasting life..
{ John 17:3 } { 1 John 2:15,17 }

For centuries , the Israelites had observed the Passover in memory of
their Exodus from slavery in the land of Egypt.

Their ancestors slaughtered lambs and smeared blood on their doorsteps
so God would pass over their homes..
while striking down the Egyptian firstborn.
{ Exodus 12:12-13 }

The Old Testament Passover lamb, after all , prefigured Jesus Christ's sacrifical death..
As the lamb of God , he allowed his blood to be spilled to rescue humanity from sin--in symbol...

Jesus prayed to the Father.....
He prayed Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.. { Luke 23:24 }

Which testifys to Gods love in my book..
For Mankind..
This is from the Christian perspective..

As the God of creation / Genesis draws us together...
In some way ... Different yet a connection of faiths..
On the Wings as the Eagle / of the one who has sent me..

Weither one be of the Jewish faith or of the Christian one..

Passover is important to us..
For thoses who observe passover..
This is for you.... (((( Smiles ))))

The Resurrection Hope

Job Drew Comfort From The Resurrection Hope..

Paul reminds us that " God recommends his own love to us in that,
while we were yet sinners , Christ died for us. " { Roman 5:8 }

Appreciation for this undeserved kindness truely brings us closer
to Jesus and to our loveing heavenly Father.
{ 2 Corinthians 5:14, 15 }

Job, a faithfull man from pre- Christian times , also looked forward to a resurrection..
He suffered greatly at Satan's hands..
Unlike his false companions , who never mentioned the resurrection, Job drew comfort from this hope and asked:
" If an able-bodied man dies can he live again ?"

In an answer Job himself declared: All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait, until my relief comes.
" Addressing his God, Jehovah, he acknowledged: " You will call, and I myself shall answer you."
Concerning the feelings of our loveing Creator, Job noted:
For the work of your hands you will have a yearning."
{ Job 14:14,15 }

Yes, Jehovah eagerly anticipates the time when faithfull ones return to life in the ressurection..
How this draws use closer to him as we meditate on the love and undeserved kindness that he shows us even though we are imperfect !

The prophet Daniel , described by God's angel as a " very desirable man,"
lived a long life of faithfull service.
{ Daniel 10:11 ,19 }

His integrity to Jehovah remained intact from his exile in 617 B.C.E until his death some time after he recieved a vision in 536 B.C.E , the third year of Cyrus , King of Persia.
{ Daniel 1:1;10:1 }

Some time during the third year of Cyrus, Daniel recieved a vision of the march of world powers that culminates in the
comeing great tribulation.
{ Daniel 11:1-12:13 }

As he could not fully understand the vision , Daniel asked the angelic messenger who delivered it:
" O my lord, what will be the final part of theses things ? "

In answer the angel called attention to " the time of the end, " during which the ones haveing insite will understand."

As for Daniel himself , what was his prospects ?

The angel acknowledged: " You will rest, but you will stand up for your lot at the end of the days. "
{ Daniel 12:8-10,13 }

Daniel will return " in the resurrection of the righteous ones, "
during Christ's Millennial Reign.
{ Luke 14:14 }

We live deep in the time of the end and nearer the start of Christ's Millennial Rule than when we first became believers..
Therefore, we must ask ourselves,
' Will I be there in the new world to associate with Abraham , Job, Daniel , and other faithfull men and women?

Is that your hope ... To be there with them too ???

Then a voice called to him from the thornbush.
" I am the God of your father, " the voice declared, " the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. "
{ Exodus 3:1-6)

Later , in the first century C.E., thoses words were recalled by none other than God's own Son, Jesus...

Our true hope in faith is to be there as well....

-Christ Our Passover
-By: Henry Morris, Ph.D.

"And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt." (Exodus 12:13)

The Jews of the world have been keeping their annual Feast of the Passover for almost 3,500 years, fulfilling the ancient prophecy: "And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever" (Exodus 12:24). This was the beginning of the nation of Israel, when they left Egyptian slavery behind and started their trek to the Promised Land. The lamb had been slain and eaten, its blood placed on the door posts, and the Lord had spared all their firstborn sons when the Destroyer passed through the land of Egypt.

The feast was intended not only to memorialize the ancient deliverance, but also to anticipate the coming day when the "Lamb of God" would take "away the sin of the world" (John 1:29). The night before Christ was crucified, He told His disciples: "With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God" (Luke 22:15-16).- bible

Thereupon, the Lord established His Supper, which Christians will continue to observe to "shew the Lord's death till he come" (1 Corinthians 11:26). He fulfilled all that the Passover prophesied when He shed His blood on the Cross, "For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, . . . with . . . sincerity and truth" (1 Corinthians 5:7-8).

Now we look forward to an even greater supper when Christ returns, for the promise is this to all who believe: "Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb" (Revelation 19:9).

Thank you for beginning this marvelous post, Lynn. Sorry I missed it last year. Blessings!

-Zechariah And Christ's Advent
-By: Paul G. Humber, M.S.

“. . . for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee” (Zechariah 2:10,11).

This old prophecy of the coming Messiah helps us better understand “the world” of John 3:16. The Father so loved “many nations,” that He gave His only begotten Son. The vision also reveals the purpose for Christ’s coming. The high priest, Joshua (3:1), whose name in Hebrew is equivalent to “Jesus” in the Greek, represented the people before God. The problem was that he was dressed in filthy garments. More than five hundred years later, on Calvary’s cross, Jesus, the only effective high priest and worthy representative before the Father, was dressed in the filth of our sins.

starIn the same verse, the “angel of the LORD” is mentioned. He prefigures the divine aspect of the Lord Jesus Christ. This “messenger” (the basic meaning of “angel”) promised prophetically to remove “iniquity” and “clothe . . . with change of raiment” (3:4). This happened when Jesus, the God-Man, obediently offered the once-for-all sacrifice of Himself on the cross. He now removes sin and clothes redeemed people in His own perfect righteousness. The Father sees the elect in the light of His Son’s perfection.

Finally, God promised to “bring forth (His) servant the BRANCH” (3:8) and to “remove the iniquity of that land in one day” (3:9). This happened “one day” when Jesus was “pierced” (12:10) by Roman soldiers. cross

No one Biblical image adequately portrays the wonder and majesty of the Lord Jesus Christ and His work of salvation. The mosaic of Biblical prophecy, however, finds unity in Jesus, available now to save all who humble themselves before Him in prayer and trust Him for salvation.

It's a pretty picture. However, Jesus DID NOT come out of the grave with those white clothes wrapped around him. And only some angels were there.

Remember, John 20/ - bible- "Now on the first day of the week Mary Magadalene came early to the tomb....stone already taken away from the tomb entrance.

Peter ran, John the beloved, and all the others as well. ...and stooping and looking in, he saw the linen wrappings lying there; but he did not go in. Also lying there was the face cloth which had been on his head.

For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to there own homes.

Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb/ and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.

And they (the angels) said to her "Woman, why are you weeping?"...."They've taken my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him. When she had said this, she turned around and "saw Jesus standing there, and did not know it was Jesus".

Jesus said, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?"

I think I'll stop right there, and ask that the readers of this, get your Bible and see what took place after this encounter of Mary with Jesus. (Read John 20-21). He's Alive! - signpraisegod

Hi Abishag, ((((( Smiles )))))

That is so true. Jesus DID NOT come out of the grave with those white clothes wrapped around him. And only some angels were there.

But it is a pretty picture isn't it, very dramatic looking indeed.

Easter according to Scripture.

The annual Christian festival celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus; it was not observed in New Testament times,
it's use in Acts 12:4 ( it's only appearance in the Bible) is the result of a mistranslation of the Greek word for "Passover."

James 2.26 For as the body without the spirit is dead.

When was Jesus crucified?
Why 3 PM?
Was this the usual time for slaying the Passover sacrifice.
Without the word "Passover" as the Old Testament and New Testament together give one a more fuller understanding of the events and the whys?.
The word easter takes away from the meaning of fulfillment.
As Jesus is the "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
Rev 13:8.
The sacrifice for our sins.

-Teachable moment
-Luke 24:13-35

"And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself."
--(Luke 24:27)
bible

At first glance, the story of the Emmaus Road might seem like just a few folks out for a walk, trying to make sense of an immensely disappointing experience. When they tried to describe Christ's execution to the 'stranger' they bumped into, He redirected the conversation, asking them questions and gave them the lecture of a lifetime.

Why is the Emmaus Road story endearing on so many levels? Why does a rather unevenful tale of a seven-mile walk continue to draw us in, offering rich material for sermons and lessons?

Perhaps because in it, the resurrected Jesus made only His second appearance from the dead to two people we've barely heard of. They were ordinary folks, not leaders of the church. He reminds them that God's work throughout Scripture had always signaled this moment: when the Son of Man would come to earth, offer Himself for our sake, and establish His new body, His church, in us!

Cleopas and his friend had been despairing of their future. Christ responded by returning to the truth of Scripture.
-------
Take time to meditate on this conversation on the Road to Emmaus. It is very important. What happens next is that we, His body of believers are told to "go and tell the world that the Messiah has come and is coming back to get us." Our job is to spread His Word.

( starThank you Russ, Laura and Herb Allure for allowing the Lord's Word to go onward with this, your forum. God bless you!)

-Broken Bread
-Luke 24:13-35

"Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread." (Luke 24:35) cross

Though they knew their long-awaited Messiah was dead, Cleopas and his friend on the Emmaus Road realized that the Scriptures had been fulfilled after all. And He was standing before them! In the best, most accurate biblical and theological lesson possible, Christ confirmed to them the recurring theme of Scripture: that God was always restoring His people to Himself, no matter the cost, even as it had been necessary "for the Messiah to suffer these things and enter his glory." These two were eager to reconcile the events of the crucifixion with the bizarre account from the women of His reported resurrection, so they listened.

When did they recognize Him? When He broke bread and they participated with Him in an act similar to His last supper before His death. This reminder was what they needed to feed on. Death had indeed come to Jesus, but His life was stronger than all the forces of the world combined.

What did they do next?
They ran seven miles--in the dark--to their friends with the good news!
---
Christ's broken body reminds us of how much God loves us. His resurrection confirming hope for us in even the most discouraging times. In Christ, we find the blessed hope! He's coming back!

The Coming Messiah Of Isaiah 53.1

Quote
The Coming Messiah
53.1
Who would have believed our report?(Rom.10:13)And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? (John 12:38)2.For He grew up before Him as a tender plant and as a root out of dry ground. He had no form or splender, and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.3.He was despised and rejected by men, a Man of pains and having known about sickness, disease, and as one from Whom men hide their face:He was despised,and we esteemed Him not.

53:4.Surely He has borne our sicknesses, our pains; He carried them, yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.( 1 Pe.2:24) 5. But He was wounded because of our transgressions, bruised because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and we have been healed by His wounds.
(Matt.8:17,Luke 24:46,1 Pe 2:24)

53:6.All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned, each one,to his own way, and the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall upon Him.(1Pe 2:25)

53:7.He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth, like a lamb which is brought to the slaughter and like a sheep is mute before her shearers.8.He was taken away from rule and from judgement, and who will recount His life? For He was cut off out of the land of the living He was stricken because of the transgressions of My people.9. And one made His grave among the wicked and His tomb among the rich, although He has done no violence, nor was there any deceit in His mouth.(1Pe.2:22,Rev.14:5)

53:10.But it pleased the Lord to bruise Him. He has put Him to grief:if His very being will consider it a recompense for guilt, He will see His seed, he will prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord will succeed in His hand.11. He will see of the travail of His soul and will be satisfied. By His knowledge My Servant will justify the righteous before many, and He will bear their iniquities.12.Therefore I shall divide Him a portion with the great , and He will divide the spoil with the strong, because He has laid open His very being to death, and was numbered with transgressors(Matt.27:38, Mark.15:28, Luke22:37)and He took off the sin of many(1Pe.2:24),and made intercession for the transgressors.

--- SANCTIFICATION AND LOVE // MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS ~~

~~"Mind your own business and work with your hands. Our Calling is to "Love each other" ~~
---[1 Thessalonians 4:11

~~PLEASE READ/ 1 THESSALONIANS 4:9–12 angelwing

~~~Years ago, my son Josh and I were making our way up a mountain trail when we spied a cloud of dust rising in the air.
We crept forward and discovered a badger busy making a den in a dirt bank. He had his head and shoulders in the hole and was vigorously digging with his front paws and kicking the dirt out of the hole with his hind feet. He was so invested in his work he didn’t hear us.
I couldn’t resist and prodded him from behind with a long stick lying nearby. I didn’t hurt the badger, but he leaped straight up in the air and turned toward us. Josh and I set new world records for the hundred-yard dash.
I learned something from my brashness: Sometimes it’s best not to poke around in other people’s business. That’s especially true in relationships with fellow believers in Jesus. The apostle Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to “make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands” (1 Thessalonians 4:11). We’re to pray for others and seek by God’s grace to share the Scriptures, and occasionally we may be called to offer a gentle word of correction. But learning to live a quiet life and not meddling into others’ lives is important. It becomes an example to those who are now outside God’s family (v. 12). Our calling is to “love each other” (v. 9).
--"Father God, teach us to know what it means to love others better. Show us how to love others as you have loved and gave yourself as a living Sacrifice for our sins. In Jesus Name."
---TO BE HUMAN ~~
--"Jerusalem, Jerusalem...how often I have longed to gather your children together,
as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. --[Matthew 23:37] -- bible
--Emotion must have welled up in the eyes of Jesus as He compared His concern for Jerusalem to the care of a mother hen for her chicks (Matthew 23:37).
His disciples were often confused by what they saw in His eyes or heard in His stories. His idea of what it meant to be strong was different. It happened again as they walked with Him from the temple. Calling His attention to the massive stone walls and magnificent decor of their place of worship (24:1), the disciples noted the strength of human accomplishment. Jesus saw a temple that would be leveled in AD 70.
Christ shows us that healthy people know when to cry and why. He cried because His Father cares and His Spirit groans for children who couldn't yet see what breaks His heart. ~~
-"Father, please replace any cold illusions of strength I cling to with a growing understanding of the cares and concerns that break Your heart. for children like me. Break my heart with the things that break Your heart, my Lord, Savior and Redeemer.-amen" ~~
