Hi there,

Yes, I've heard of this and have experienced it myself also. As far as I know, it's not irreversible, it does in fact improve. I remember seeing a woman with this who had it severely to the point it affected her physical appearance and after amalgam removal and detox, she came back to normal and the difference even in her face was quite remarkable.

I'm not sure what direct supplemental treatment to take for muscular weakness. I just found treating candida yeast, a good diet, and proper chelation (with healthy lifestyle), and supplement support (antioxidants mainly) eventually helped.

DMSA taken according to Cutler's protocol should be longer than one day rounds if possible (3 days at least). But I remember there were times I did one day when I simply could not do anymore. I would stop when I felt too weak/toxic, as detoxing can be very taxing. And I'd take a break of a few days and try again. I knew I should have gone for longer, but if you feel too weak and sickly, then sometimes you don't have alot of options. Sometimes I made it till 4 days, sometimes an entire week. My main fault back then was taking too high a dose of DMSA. I could have gone for longer had I reduced the dose (as I found out later).

So keep dose at a tolerable level and try and make it to 3 days if you can (e.g. over the weekend if you're working). Drink enough water to help your body with flushing toxins, and take enough antioxidant/mineral support during the day and stick with a good diet (sugar/gluten/yeast free if poss).

Getting enough salt in the diet is important too.

Having hot (not too hot) baths with the additon of epsom salts can be helpful for muscles.

This is pretty much all I can suggest. If you can do some gentle walking, it is wise to keep that up also. It aided the detox process for me quite substantially and kept up a certain amount of muscle strength, without over-taxing me.
