Mercury is mercury, and although the 1 amalgam under the crown may not be entirely responsible for your health problems, it certainly isn't helping. Plus, there may be a cumulative effective between the amalgam and the material in the crown. Dr. Boyd Haley's video Mercury Toxicity and It's Relationship to Neurological Disorders discusses how mercury combined with aluminum is many, many times more toxic than either substance alone.

Another thing I wonder about is if the DMSA itself is contributing to your problems, since you still have mercury in your mouth. Our dentist strongly opposed taking any type of chelator if you still had mercury fillings.

You might want to consider taking Algin to see if it helps you feel better. If the DMSA is redistributing mercury, taking Algin may help prevent this.

Actually, Dr. Cutler discusses how to effectively use DMSA in his book Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis & Treatment. It might help you to get a copy and read up on what you're taking to see if you need to make some alterations in your detox program. In fact, Dr. Cutler writes that "oral" DMSA should be used with Lipoic Acid (also known as Alpha Lipoic Acid).

Just some suggestions that hopefully will help. Keep us posted on what you try and how it works!
