I have had my fillings changed on the right side and only have 1 left on left side. I am concerned about getting this one done because my other teeth that i had done are so sensitive. If i have the other one done and it is sensitive i would not be able to chew. because my right side is too sensitive to chew on. Anyone else have this problem !

Yes! Mine was horrible, but the good news is it did come to an end. Get yourself some toothpaste for sensitive teeth-I got one by Jason from the health food store that contains thyme. Also, take extra B1 and B6 to help with any pain.

I finished yesterday having my teeth done. It seems that my dentist saved the worse for last.
I was in the chair for over 2 hours. It seems that these last 2 teeth were very close to the nerve endings. It still hurts to eat or drink anything cold in that area.
By the time I left the office, my jaw was so sore that I couldn't move it much. I never used any novacane (sp)? whatsoever in any of my amalgam removals. I just don't like the idea of putting this kind of stuff into my system.

How long did it take before they were not sensitive> It has been over 3 months for me and they still are sensitive.

I'm not sure since I was using the toothpaste and taking the B vitamins. I did this for several months and then stopped taking the extra B's and later stopped the special toothpaste. It has been 1 year since I finished removal.

When I had my amalgams removed, I had them all out in one sitting...it tooks 7 hours. My jaw and teeth ached liked crazy. I couldn't eat solid food for at least a day or two. But gradually, the soreness went away and I've been fine ever since. My guess is that since you didn't use novacaine, your nerves may be somewhat traumatized. You might want to try an herb like Blue Vervain to help with the nerve pain. It's a great natural pain-reliever that has been used for toothaches, headaches, etc. Since it's in a liquid form, it would probably work faster than taking it in capsule form. Otherwise, the pain and soreness should subside with time.
