I know what you mean Stuart. There are some situations where chelation can be very difficult when a persons' system is not coping with it, or not even able to utilise it properly. Could be overburdened gut/liver etc.
Sometimes feeling of "regressing" and getting worse is part of the movement/removal of mercury and actually "progressing". I've gone through that and it's not fun. That can be a sign of things detoxing, but it maybe that your body isn't coping with it well either and if it's too much at this point, then do only what you feel you can cope with and what is working for you.
I think perhaps the sauna maybe the way to go for you, at least at this stage. You may find if you get stronger over time, that ALA will be easier and more beneficial, rather than problematic for you.
I think for a heavily toxic system that is overburdened with both yeast and mercury/chemicals, sauna is sometimes the safer option becuase it takes so much of the strain off your already burdened organs by sweating toxins out via the pores of your skin.
I have had the same thing with the dragging dead skin off or whatever it is and it looking blue. What is that????? Is it absorbtion of dye from clothing or bed sheets or something coming off? sometimes it's greyish though...I thought I was the only one lol.
