Maybe you have seasonal disaffection syndrome (not sure if I spelt it right). Do you live in a place where there are distinct seasons? We do in the UK and I really hate winter. We only get about 7 hours of daylight and it's dark by 4pm. It's too cold to go for a walk and we have to put heating on and lights.
Apparently depression in winter is very common in Scandinavian countries where they have even less light in winter. I find that I suffer not only mentally from the dark cold nights but physically because I don't get out and about as much. I would like one day to move to a warmer country with more hours of daylight in winter.
Apart from the darkness and the artificial lights and heating of winter, we have to wear more clothes. It takes energy to move our clothes, so the more clothes we wear the more enegy we need. The more energy we need, the more hungry we get. Also, the cold weather can affect circulation and make limbs ache, which combined with less exercise can cause more pains etc.
