bex and russ, 6 of them are crowns, which i will be glad to do without the crowns. i just want them out. maybe i should just pull them? i am awfully young to have dentures and actually quite vain at that...that might be a bit hard to swallow. but if it will save my life...i guess the dentures would cost a fortune too though and i would rather have my real teeth....doyou think that if i have "pictures" literally, digital photos that a dentist could look at it and give me an estimate like that? i had to pay 275 for my initial visit. that could have gone to a tooth. : (i can't afford all these estimates. I would get the crowns removed yes. Amalgam can also be underneath them. I can understand not wishing to have false teeth! I went about things by emailing dentists and kept to the ones that actually took the time to respond and give me an idea of how much it would cost. The ones that didn't bother or refused to give me any idea, and instead wanted me in so they could charge me for a consultation, I didn't have anymore to do with. I either phoned or emailed. Out of the ones I phoned, I was able to locate the most reasonable cost dentist, who knew what he was doing (had a good reputation for placing ceramics). And that's the one I went to.
