thanks everyone for your quick response. i have to say that i have been for the past 2 years probably following most of this and not knowing that it would benefit mercury toxicity. my doctor has me taking detox baths..with baking soday and epson salt. 2-3 times a week. i have been on a vit c protocol since then too. when i first started with my doctor she had me take to bowel tolerance then maintain 75% of the flush for 2 weeks then do it again..those were some tough days. it would take 21 tsp to flush and when one tsp contains 5,000 pretty potent stuff. i was so sick when i first met her. now it takes about 5 to flush and sometimes even 4 so..i know that is good news. but i also take bone and mineral(4)...a multivitamin(4 a day), detox complete used to take 8 a day but it would make me nauseated so now i tolerate 2, i take b12 shots 20,000 per week..folic acid daily, tyro htp plus(2)superquercetin forte(3),dhea(20)samE (1),calmatrine (3)pregnolone (2),d.i.m.(2), max Dophilus(2),e plex, zinc, vitamin d, glycine to sleep before bed, progesterone(compound pharmacy), adrenal support (2 in the am)
i guess i am on the right track. right?

Wow, you are doing alot already! This sounds ok, as long as you feel ok on it? For me at the moment, i cannot tolerate any supplements AT ALL. So I have to adjust. This is the first time in a long time that I have been supplement free. I'm not sure what's happened, but I am finding that everytime I take supplements, whatever is in my gut seems to be feeding on them. I assume it is parasitic! Or yeast has flared up. Either or both.

I am at the moment doing a parasite cleanse. I haven't been tested, but most of us have them to some degree anyway and it's good to do them about twice a year or so anyway for good measure.

Do you use natural celtic sea salt and kelp at all? These are good for the glandular system and other functions in the body. The only issue is possible contaminated with the kelp, but if you get a good clean source of it, it should be "ok". Plus it helps neutralise radiation and is good for toxicity (metals).

i understand NOWwhat my doctor is trying to do. she has been wanting me to do a parasite test but it was like a LOT Of money(about 300)...that is why i have not done it yet..but i guess that that is very important. hmmm. thanks. okay, my next question is sill i need this much supplementation when the extraction occurs...meaning will i still be spending 450 a month just on suppplements???? have any of you noticed the NEED to have all these decreasing?
i have to mention that i have been gluten free for a bout 2 years, sugar, yeast free as well. i do have candida issues and i watch that too. so you all were right on the MONEY. it is amazing. thanks
thanks for replying with some helpful herb ideas....although i feel like i have NO money left to do what i have to do just to survive. it is truely a shame. thanks again. i keep saying i want to write a book when i get through all of this. : )

That's great! Your candida issues will likely improve after these sources of ongoing toxicity are removed from your mouth and as you detox your body of them. Until then, it maybe an ongoing battle to help your body keep things in better check. If the toxicity is bad enough, it can be very very difficult as I can attest to.

As for the supplements, I could not afford to take all that. I took basic ones that I felt did make some difference - namely the antioxidants as I mentioned (vitamin C, E, selenium). Andy Cutler (mercury expert) recommends the antixidants, B complex, magnesium, zinc, milk thistle etc as the basics for mercury toxic people. But there are others too. Depends on what a person finds helps them.

Some may feel they require much more than that, but see how much you can make up in your diet (natural celtic salt as mentioned has got natural minerals and so does kelp, with iodine, which is necessary, since mercury blocks/reduces it).

And right now, as I mentioned, I cannot take any supplements, so I'm trying to get as much as I can out of foods. Nuts/seeds/vegetables/natural yoghurt/meats/eggs/liver/lemons/tomatoes as fruit (since I have candida, other sweeter fruits pose issues), fats/oils like butter/olive oil and celtic sea salt with kelp.

Do you feel you need all those supplements? Have you tried just doing the diet and seeing which supplements make a difference by adding them one by one? Sometimes that can be helpful, because they cost a heck of a lot of money. HOpefully if they are somehow holding you together, after all this, you maybe able to reduce or go off them once you get your toxicity down further.

As for parasite testing? I haven't done that because I know how much all those tests cost, so for good measure, I am doing a strong parasite cleanse (which you can get from a healthfood shop or online). It's wise to do them anyway, because we can carry them around and I don't know if tests show everything anyway.

Cleanses can be most helpful - liver/bowel/kidneys etc. I used to do a "Heels" detox kit cleanse and it was great! Powerful though, but very effective. But again not cheap!

The baths with the epsom salts and baking soda sound very good. I used to do those and they helped me a lot! I also found I made alot of difference by walking on my treadmill for about half an hour daily or having a day off inbetween if I can't manage it. Plus doing some strengthening exercises. I cannot do much, but this helps get things moving and toxins start to shift and come out easier.
