Hi there,

Can you try another holistic/biologic dentist? That is ALOT of money for amalgam removal. I know it's never cheap, but 14 grand???? Did you mean 1,400 or 14,000? I would definitely ask around and get estimates from other dentists if you can.

I found that treating candida yeast was helpful for me as I was dealing with amalgam toxicity. So you might want to google up about candida and the misery of symptoms it can cause. Mercury toxicity is a cause of candida, and the two combined can really make you very toxic, very miserable and difficult to get on with life. If you treat the candida, you may find, after going through some die off/detox, that you start feeling less toxic, healthier/stronger and better able to cope with the mercury.

I would look at going on a candida diet, which will help reduce excess yeast, but also, it is healthy. Some use some antifungal treatment too to kill off the candida, that depends how bad it is and whether a person feels they need to take the next step. However, it can be very strong/harsh and may release too many toxins into the system at once. So if one is going to take this step, they should be careful (probably take drainage remedies as supports for the liver/kidneys etc). Also, if the yeast happen to contain metals? Which apparently they can, in killing them off with antifungals potentially releases those metals into the system.

So diet is usually a safer option, at least as a starter. Because yeast simply slowly weaken and die off.

As JK98 said, treating parasites too! All these things tend to come onboard a compromised immune system.

Supplement support can help too, depending on how you respond to them. They can be of help - particularly antioxidant/liver support like vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, milk thistle, etc. Magnesium/zinc/B complex can also be of help and getting enough essential fatty acids in the diet from mercury free fish oils. Protein and good fats like eggs/meat/butter is also recommended and good natural celtic sea salt. You can add this salt to your meals in place of table salt and even add it to a drink of warm water with lemon juice. Table salt is chemically altered/bleached, minerals are removed, and apparently contains aluminium). Natural salt is very healthy and good for your glandular system etc, for many functions in your body. Some may find the addition of kelp helpful for extra minerals and essential element like iodine (which is reduced by mercury toxicity). Mercury competes with essential minerals/elements like iodine/selenium etc. So replacing them can help with many functions in the body like the thyroid/adrenal glands.

If you do not want to use kelp, you can obtain iodine in tablets/drops instead. But just use carefully and not overdo it and test reactions. I found iodine of great help for me with energy and body temp.

Eat more natural raw foods like fruits and vegetables. Non gluten grain maybe ok. I say non gluten because people with mercury/candida problems can often be gluten intolerant and if they are? The gluten in the diet can make such a person very sick/poisoned. Removing sugar/wheat/gluten/yeast made a tremendous difference to me, I would try it.

I would not just prepare financially for amalgam removal, but I would prepare your body physically, as this will help you cope better with the removal and prepare your body for detoxing the stored mercury once the amalgams are removed.

A biologic dentist I know (and a growing amount of them) are now aware of how important it is to prepare their mercury toxic patients with diet/supplement support and detox, before/during/after amalgam removal.
