For those of you who have decided that you want to start the process of getting yourself and your family on the road to self sufficiency and preparedness, the task may seem somewhat overwhelming.

Though thereare countless sites and references on the web concerning "Suvivalism" and "Preparedness"; the very fact that there is so much information, makes it difficut for people to sift through it.

To address this, I strongly recommend a book written by
Holly & Stan Deyo of Colorado.

The book is "Dare to Prepare"

The Deyo's, primarily Holly, have done extensive research and produced a book that is invaluable to anyone who is involved in preparedness.

Overall, the book is the size of an Encyclopedia, and nearly as thick. Illistrations, Charts, and pictures are excellent and plentiful.

Subjects include, procuring water & food, shelflife of canned goods, decoding manufacturers code-dates, numerous lists of suggested goods to stockpile and quantities,
types of emergencies and what locations are more at risk,
This is only to name a very few of those subjects covered.

You can check out this book and more information by going to "standeyo.com"

It is truly a great reference book.
