Can anyone list items that we use that contains enough mercury to harm our health? I know monitors and some light bulbs contains mercury. How about those water fountain? are those contains mercury too? The amount of mercury dispersed in the air via coal-fired power plants dwarfs that dispersed by fluorescent light bulbs (although you certainly are correct, they do give off mercury). That leaves us in a bit of conundrum -- if we use regular light bulbs instead of fluorescents, our energy bills go up, which means more mercury released into the environment. Nice, eh? Also, to add to your list, some eye drops and nasal sprays contain mercury as well. Bausch and Lomb eye drops do not, to the best of my knowledge, fyi. Tom
