I know of a couple of people with MS and I can't help wonder if they have amalgam fillings. I don't know either of them personally, but both got sick in their teens. I got sick with the OCD in my teens. One of them was in school with me and I always remember him as a great dancer, but now he is in a wheelchair.
How can we make people we "know of" with symptoms of poisonong aware of the issue without bursting into their lives and appearing rude and insensitive if they don't even have amalgam fillings? I have got bad reaction just on email groups from mentioning the possibility that some of them with similar health problems to me might be poisoned.
This is one I've really been struggling on lately. To not get the message to such people seems to confound their suffering, and while I always take the approach in life of telling people things they might not want to hear anyway because at least then they have the information, that isn't always well received and I'm strongly disliked, even though I am only thinking of them.

I know how you feel Demi...
My own family doesn't believe mercury fillings do any harm..In fact they even think that tap water is good for you sometimes. Some people just refuse to believe that a country like America would harm their own people..

I'm right with you Demi.
Humans have a tendency to follow the flock rather than think about the most logical conclusions. Most (not all) people will be reluctant to admit that this health hazard could exist until they perceive that most others feel the same way. This is the single biggest reason why media is so powerful: It attempts to control what you believe (and your behavior) by telling you what the majority of people are believing, of course, very often, they lie about what the majority really think for their own purposes.
I think we just need to keep working on them one-by-one, never getting discouraged, never getting tired (if possible). Just keep pushing and know that one day, everyone will know how right you were.

Demi, I know that I heard that I should get my fillings removed a number of years back. But, my dentist had newspaper clippings on his wall that stated how safe they were. I like my dentist and trusted him. So, I did nothing, while my family and I received more and more of this toxic "care". Finally, back in Oct or Nov last year I decided, after hearing about how dangerous fillings are for a number of years, to find a holistic dentist for my kids' next fillings - just in case. When I got on the web and found out that these so called "silver" amalgams are, in reality MERCURY amalgams, I almost threw up. To think that they have been instilling this poison into our mouths with no word of warning whatsoever! Then I got onto this website and found that my symptoms were exactly like many others. I had prayed, a few years ago, that the Lord woudl lead me to the source of my autoimmunity so I could put an end to the decline of my health and prevent my kids from entering the realms of the autoimmune. Thank God, I have finally found the answer. However, even when I tell people that their fillings are mercury, they don't listen. But I took a long time to listen. Perhaps if they find out it is mercury right at the start, it won't take them as long as it took me.

An idea.
Because of my passion for this issue, I want to tell everyone I can. I've found that, instead of making a statement to people like this:
"Silver fillings contain mercury and can be bad for your health."
I've found this approach to get a much better response:
"Haven't you heard? Those silver fillings dentists use contain up to 50% mercury which leaks out 24/7. Oh, yea; A lot of people are hearing about all the health issues this can cause."
Including the fact that a lot of people are doing something that they might be missing out on (exemplified by asking "Haven't you heard?") really gets their attention.
If you consider that people have to hear something 3 to 7 times before they consider it credible, this approach may count for 2 or 3 points.
Just a thought to help get the word out.

Most people I tell even the sick ones mainly think I am paranoid. There theory is how would the government let them use it if it is poison? Some people you will not be able to reach. You have to tired of being sick to look for a reason why your sick and a way to get better. Most of our country is brainwashed into fully trusting government agency's and physicians to protecting them. I guess they never hear "buyer beware". It is a shame though. I know so many people who didn' t have to get MS or cancer, or could at least get better. I just keep talking, whether I am "crazy" or not! [color:"purple"] [/color]

What you say is so true, that's why I just try and have fun with it, saying things like:
"Man! Have you heard about this mercury stuff."
If they say no, I keep going:
"Geez! It's all over, in vaccines, silver fillings, and people are getting sick all over. It's amazing."
It really seems to get their attention, especially if they have silver fillings or if they've been vaccinated lately.

Irf you have amalgam fillings you're largest exposure to mercury is likely from them, not fish, cfoal emissions, paint or any other source.

Since making this thread I have tried to get the into to the two people concerned. I emailed one's ex-wife, mentioning the issue briefly, and the second I knocked on the door with as much info as I could saying how fillings can cause MS. I have also told many other people. I honestly think they believe I am well intentioned, but don't know how many people actually believe me about the dangers. Most people think I am crazy. But I just couldn't live with myself if I hadn't of said something.
