Submit a Form Using an Image (instead of a button) and Get Click Coordinates -All Without JavascriptDid you know that HTML allows the use of an image instead of a button when submitting a form?
<form name="MyForm" action="DoSomething.php">
<input type="image" src="images/submit.jpg">
</form>
When this request is received by PHP, $_POST[] will return 2 elements that indicate exactly where the image was clicked using X/Y coordinates: $_POST['x'] = '15'
$_POST['y'] = '32' The origin of the coordinate system is in the upper left of the graphic. In other words, the x-value increases as you click further to the right. The y-value increases as you click further down. Enjoy!
