Those here who have cognitive problems or depression should consider taking supplemental iron. That is especially true for women. I suggest iron bisglycinate since it is non constipating and well absorbed. I guess it would be a good idea to take it with vitamin c, B12 and folic acid.

Decreased kidney function can also cause anemia.
Mercury can impair kidney function.

Forget all this supplemental stuff, you can only take so much as there is so many different deficiencies and this and that long term can throw so and so off, too much unknowns for me. Use Chlorella or better yet Blackstrap Molasses which is rich in Iron or another source JK, look up the Iron content in that.

I am sure the food works better too man, great post and I had no idea that Iron could cause so many things but it makes perfect sense.

In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

Neurotransmitter imbalances have been proven not to be a cause of depression or other mental illnesses, so even if iron affects neurotransmitter levels, it won't cure any mental illness.Robert Whitaker writes about the myth of neurotransmitter imbalances in his book Mad In America.
