Based On The Best-Selling Novel .."JOSHUA"
One man holds the answer..
BACKCOVER: "A wonderful, sweet movie...MOVIEGUIDE recommends that everyone see 'Joshua.'-- Ted Baehr, MOVIEGUIDE ~
Based on the best-selling novel by Joseph Girzone that touched the lives of millions, 'JOSHUA' is an inspirational story about a stranger whose mysterious "supernatural" powers inspire a small town.
When Joshua moves to the outskirst of Auburn, he awakens the curiosity of the sleepy town. The locals aren't quite sure what to make of him. They don't know who he is or where he came from, but no one can shake the feeling that they've known him for years. Known only by his first name, his wisdom and compassion place him at the center of the town's attention.
This attention intensifies as Joshua shatters prejudice and misconception, and even seems to perform miracles. Despite his benevolence and selfless work in the community, some remain suspicious.
There are those who fear that no one in today's world would do something for nothing. Just what exactly is Joshua up to? In the end, it is the answer to that question which is nearly as extraordinary as the discovery of that same transforming power in each of their own hearts.
Tony Goldwyn, Academy Award winner- F. Murray Abraham and Academy Award nominee- Giancarlo Giannini, star in this film, complemented with a film score by Michael W. Smith.
This inspiring movie came out in 2002. Be blessed, Abishag <><
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
YOUR life is a miracle, and the Creator of the universe knows you by name. He's big enough to breathe out stars, yet intricate enough to fashion together the trillions of cells that make up every facet of who you are. The God who spoke the universe into existence made you, too, and knows everything about you. From the smallest molecule to the situation you find yourself in right now.
He's aware of your circumstances and intimately acquainted with everything you do. And He cares about YOU and promises to carry you through.
That's where we find hope in the midst of the darkest places in life. The journey is often complicated and painful, filled with confusion and chaos. Yet, the cross of Christ reveals God's promise to preserve and restore you no matter what the circumstance. He will hold onto you and hold you together, giving strength to those who hope in His unfailing love.
He is the everlasting God!!
Approximate running time: 40 minutes
A fantastic blessing for everyone! 2009 + + +
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
The Heavens are telling the glory of God, and their expanse declares the work of His hands.
Night after night they remind us of just how small we are, and how huge God is. Looking out into the far reaches of the Universe, we find a seemingly infinite expanse of mystery and wonder, intricately fashioned by a God of unfathomable size and power.
Just a glimpse of one of the billions of visible galaxies He has formed resizes us, shrinking us and the world we call home to a seeming insignificance in an instant. But as tiny as we may see, the God who knows every star by name also knows yours, and mine. And in the most stunning rescue imaginable, God sent His Son to this spinning planet we call home--the Creator reconnecting us to Himself with life that never ends.
Indescribable takes us on an image-rich journey through the Cosmos, allowing us to peer into God's universe to discover the amazing magnitude of His greatness and grace.
Truly INDESCRIBABLE!
Approximate running time: 43 minutes
What a mighty God we serve! Blessings, Abishag <><
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
Bruce Marchiano is a really good actor and the person he is you could just feel it in the movie it radiated love from him and Sheriff Deville, a name play on DEVIL played the part rather well. Kind of creepy he played it well. But, I thought this was one of the best Christian movie's around. It was really deep had to watch it a few times myself.
------ Dustin (Jansen Panettiere) and his two best buddies are twelve year olds looking forward to a summer of fun in 1970.
