I did. I found that they began working for me when I took about 4 times the amount recommended on the bottle.

I'm surprised that there is not more discussion on probiotics. When dealing with Candidd you must use probiotics to help restore the gut bateria flora and strengthen the immune system. Mercury also disrupts the bacteria flora and immun system. You would need to take proboitics, eat proboitic foods or even prebiotics to rebalance the gut flora after/during mercury detox.
With so many brands of probiotics out there, there is some trail and error to find what works, what is good quality and which ones are worthless.
Russ, which brand did you try? I have tried a few and i seem to be having some good luck with Natren brand right now. No FOS or prebiotics in them, which is a good thing for people Colitis.

Hi Patman,
I had a horrible reaction to probiotics late last year into early this year. Which I put down to a problem in my gut and also imbalance in liver detox pathways. So I had then to deal with the reaction and eruption created by taking probiotics and for many months after I stopped them.
I know that they can be really helpful to some people, but there are indeed some risks attached to them and that might be more for those like myself who have liver imbalance and do not tend to keep up with the toxins released by more potent products and then become very toxic as a result.
I have also heard that it can be risky too in cases of mercury toxicity. Which may well be due to the displacement of bad bacteria and contained heavy metals, or perhaps the reaction of it on the mercury itself.
Not sure exactly, but I'd proceed very carefully to test for reactions and go slowly in case someone is like me and has trouble eliminating released toxins!

Bex thats probably your kidneys as well not eliminating well along with your liver so these things accumulate in you and make you far worse. Do you have constipation too? That can be a problem for toxins while on die offs. Like I said in the other thread a guy told me, if you are not up to ar with the liver and kidneys or digestions forget about health and herbs, you will only do yourself worse at times taking them. Your liver is what uses the herbs you take actually, if it not processing or up to health then what happens to the things everyone takes trying to get well? Who knows. I really don't like Probiotics that much, some do me well but I took a few for a while and they did absolutely nothing for me. I guess Fermented foods can be better?

In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

Hi Sean,
Could be! Though I had always had a problem eliminating toxins and testing confirmed a liver imbalance. However, this was made MUCH worse following further health problems that came later. So this tendency was emphasized and now has become a far greater problem.
I just bought some liver support supplements the other day, so taking one a day and hoping it might help a bit, because I've just had a terrible response to large doses of vitamin D my doctor prescribed. I am still trying to recover 3 1/2 weeks later after stopping. I was put on 50,000 IU by the way.
But again, some of that is also the fact I don't metabolise/process these things properly, so they build up and poison me instead. I have to be very careful.
Yeah fermented foods would do well Sean, I've heard this on a candida forum and it seems to be a very good way of building gut bacteria!

Sourkrut can be your friend, as long as it is fresh and not pasturized. What probiotics did you try? Single strain? multi strain? Powder?, Capule? How may Colony Forming Units (CFU)? FOS or inulin added? refrigerated? This can make a big difference. Not all proboitics are the same and many brands only specify the number of bacteria at date of manufature. You can have more than 50% dieoff before you even take some. FOS or inulin is food for bacteria/yeasts but if you have an embalance of microbes than you will just feeding the bad microbes too. I have read that you usually want at least 10 billion -30 billion CFUs per dose (for people with digestion disorders) There are test labs like Genova Labs (formerly Greak Smokies) than can provide tests that will tell you which bacteria, yeast and microbes you are low and high on so you know what probiotic to take. I have started taken Natren powder form so that the probiotics will be indroduced to all areas of the digestive system. Your mouth is important too.
