Hi Melanie,

Congratulations on having your amalgams removed and noticing already positive changes! smile This is very encouraging. Please do be aware that there can come a time post amalgam removal that a person "can" experience very strong symptoms that can feel like relapse/regression. In case you do every experience this, it is known as the "second phase of suffering". This is where stored mercury can begin to shift and start leaking back out. It feels like "repoisoning". I wish somebody had told me about it when it hit me! I was left wondering what what was happening. Chelation is the way to get through this. Not only to help with the symptoms (if this does happen to you), but of course, to remove the mercury itself.

Typically it can hit about 6 months following amalgam removal. For me? It took over a year for this to really hit me and it came seemingly out of the blue oneday. I had no idea what it was, no idea how to treat myself with a proper chelation protocol and learned the hard way!

I would suggest that you read this article over. The protocol, the information and the man responsible are probably the more informative and accurate that I have personally come across. You will find the area of main interest on that article here

It is advised that one does NOT chelate whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. I would suggest that you use this time during pregnancy to become familiarised with it all before you embark on a chelation programme.

Andrew Hall Cutler (Andy Cutler) has a book called "Amalgam Illness, Diagnosis and Treatment" that I would highly recommend getting. One of the best in my opinion. It is available here on herballure also!

You can also view some helpful information on the protocol and questions re it, in a nutshell here:

Here is an example of testimonies from those who have used or are using Andy's protocol.

I hope this helps you.
