Sorry about any losts posts that may have occured in the past day or two.

We have moved this forum to a much faster computer system (server) along with the rest of our websites and email systems and the posts that were lost got posted during that few-hour transition period when the database was already transferred to the new system but the dns had not propagated evenly across the internet yet, so some people were seeing (and posting to) the "old" forum while others were seeing (and posting to) the "new" one.

Unfortunately, there's no practical way to reclaim those posts. I can, however, look in the old database (which is still up-but hidden from public view) for about 30 more days, so if you made a long post that you cannot repost without trouble, let me know and I'll try to find it for you and email the text to you so you can post it again.

We plan on being on this current (new) server for many years before upgrading again so we shouldn't have this problem again for many years.

Hopefully, you have noticed a huge increase in the speed this forum runs. The processor is almost 10-times faster than the previous one and the new server has about 4-times as much memory. It's also running the latest-greatest software and operating system. Hope you enjoy it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks!
