Small world, huh? :-) I live in Clearwater. Moved here almost 5 yrs. ago from Pittsburgh. Had to go somewhere sunny due to my daughter's depression. That's another story, though. Heavy metal tests don't show her real high in mercury although she got the MMR booster shot in 1992 (with the thermosil) and went downhill after that. I will have to get her on a detox program as well. We seem to have tried everything else.
Anyway, back to me -- I've read on some sites that it's dangerous to not start a detox program PRIOR to amalgam removal. Any idea why?
Also, do you have any idea what happens when you get your amalgams out as far as the mercury already in your body? I've read it's also really bad to not do a detox program after removal. I wonder how it would be any worse than keeping them in.
Thanks for your suggestions above. By the way, I go to an holistic doctor who knew I was getting my amalgams removed. She recommended a product, which I purchased but haven't taken yet. I'm not sure whether to take it or break the detox down into three phases as you had done. Have you heard of Xymogen's Chelex? The directions recommend 4 capsules daily (two twice per day) and here's what's in 4 capsules: DMSA 100 mg EDTA 300 mg Cilantro 300 mg Chlorella 300 mg Allicin (as organic garlic extract) 6000 mcg N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine 200 mg Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg Ever talked with anyone who used it for detox? Any thoughts on whether it would be good to take everything at once, and if so, would you go ahead and just add Vit. C., Selenium, MSM, Algin?
Thanks!
