don't want to take DMSA or DMPS (I think tahts what its called). I would rather take ALA and cholerlla but i know that some cholerlla contains mercury. which brand have people had success with which is mercury free?

DMSA is an excellent chelator, if used properly. It is the chelator I would recommend post amalgam removal to bring the blood levels of mercury down. But I would only recommend that it be used according to Cutler's protocol (every 4 hours around the clock). 3 days on, 3-4 days off. Or near enough. Some may even wish to do one week on, one week off. As long as you do 3 days or more (no longer than a week) and take as many, if not more days off as a break. Repeat this cycle until levels have been reduced.

Chlorella can certainly mobilise mercury, but I would not call this a chelating agent in itself. Some feel better with chlorella and do well, others can find it the opposite. Certainly for me? It was unpredictable. I found that it certainly did move mercury, but I did not find it successful in chelating/removing it and often found myself suffering for months after using it. Even though I had a pure source of it. But then again, I reacted strongly to all sulfur foods/supplements (which is quite typical when one is high in mercury).

I discovered that just because something is natural, does not necessarily mean it is safe to use with mercury. The manner in which mercury is moved around/out of the body is one of the most important things to consider. I was made very ill by random methods/products of "mercury detox". Until I discovered Andy Cutler's protocol. I would suggest you look into it. You may want to really familiarize yourself with the information on this link here: Informative posts by Andy Cutler

also is ALA a good supplement to take to get rid of the mercury from the body. finally has anybody had any luck with a product called HMD (Heavy Metal Detox) iv read some reviews for it which are good but might just be some sales people trying to make a quick sale. sorry if the questions are dumb im new to this. thank-you in advance.

Yes, ALA is an excellent chelator for mercury, but only when it is used in the right way, at the right time, or it may potentially be HIGHLY risky. It chelates organ/brain mercury. It must not be used with amalgams still in place, and it should only be used when blood levels of mercury have been reduced (which takes about 3 months or so AFTER amalgams have been removed, which you can do with the help of DMSA).

The reason it's risky to use ALA too early or in the wrong manner is because ALA is able to cross the blood brain barrier (which is why it's great for brain mercury). The problem is, if you use it when your blood levels of mercury are still high, you risk it transporting more mercury with it across the blood brain barrier. Thereby increasing brain mercury.

It should be used approximately 3 months post amalgam removal. And used according to Cutler's protocol (every 3 hours around the clock). This is just my personal recommendation, based on my own experience, but also viewing the testimonies of others. Which you can check out here.
