Hi egan, I have two tattoos since 2001. I think the mercury that is used in them is thimerosol preservative used for a cost effective preservative.

It's probably the same as is used in vaccines.


I dont recall any immediate symptoms after the tatoos, but that year and the following years I did get Gout and Shingles.

If I had to do it over again -- I woud not have gotten the tattoos-- just because I see how beautiful natural skin is without some ink blobs that look like a multi-colored birthmark on you.
