I have been looking everywhere for a glass/pyrex saucepan but can't find one. Does anyone know where to get one?

We don't have Walmart here in the UK, but I think it's under a different firm. Asda? Not sure. I will look it up.

Walmart bought Asda a while ago. If you do find some do tell us where. Argos sell some pyrex stuff. You can search their website.

I will! I really don't know what our saucepans are made of, except they are metal. They could be aluminium for all I know, which is not good! Couldn't find any on the argos site.

Hi Demi,
Have you looked on the internet.....I see them all of the time.
I would suggest ebay or overstock.com, etc.

Try www.walmart.comYou can get them shipped to you I beleive. Or else I am sure someone on ebay would be selling. I actually live about 50 miles from the Corning glass factory that makes Pyrex. It is in Corning, NY, USA. Try looking for the factory online, they do sell direct.

Hey, you're not too far from me. I'm in Jamestown. I've been to Corning several times.
Thanks for the link.

The Waterloo outlet Mall near Corning has a Corning Glass Outlet Store where you can purchase their cookware at outlet prices. If you know someone living in the states and send them the money, they could purchase and ship you the items you need!

I'm still not getting any luck tracking one down. I can find pyrex dishes and saucepans with pyrex tops, but none that are all made of glass.

Look up Corning Visionware! This is the stuff you want I think. Pyrex does not make any sauce pans that I can find. But Visionware makes frying pans, and sauce pans. Ebay is loaded with them. Let me know if you find what you need.

Good question. I know that you can't use it if you have a glass cook top! Thus I need glassware too.
Ya know I have been cooking in Corning ware, the casserole kind on the cooktop. I just use potholders and be careful...Only until I get my glassware. I know this sounds weird..but I think the food tastes better.

Update on Pyrex...They were called Vision Ware and apparently they do not make them anymore. However, ebay! You can purcase whole sets or just peices. It costs a bit to ship them but no more than buying a new set of cancer pans! Corning basically makes Pyrex and Corningware still just not vision ware...the pans we want. I don't know if you can access ebay from where you live or if they can ship to you. Worth checking out though. If you live in the US I get some of my glass ware at second hand stores. It seems most people blindly stopped using this stuff for the "new" no stick.

folks don't forget the resale shops, flea markets and garage sales!!!!!
I just picked up a box of visions cookware for $13.00. Two 2-quart size (I think they were the bigger pans) a one quart with a "spout" on the side (like for pouring a gravy or soup out of) and a 1 quart with a boiler thing underneath it. All had lids.
Just take the stuff home and wash it and it's perfectly good.
I have never heard anything bad about the iron skillets and pots, sure hope they are okay because I have those.
