I had galvanic mercury poisioning. I am in Alberta, Canada. I am going to do some pectasol and algenates, but since I have had my mercury fillings and cap out total 1000 mw. I am still having ringing in my ears, which had started 5 months previous when my teeth went off and I didn't know what it was. How effective are gentle natural chelators for this like pectasol and algenates? Has anyone had success with them. I want do try DMPS but have heard such horror stories and I don't think the admiistering of it is taken seriously enough so I want to try it transdermally. Has any one done this? Why is everyone on this sight seemingly on DMSA? Is Anyone experimenting with Boyd Haley's OSR or ORS, can't remember which it is? Please let me now.

Pectasol and algenates are not chelating agents. If they help with symptoms? Then you may find them of aid. But if you really want to start getting the toxic metal/s out of you? I would recommend oral DMSA taken according to the Andy Cutler protocol as a starter.

I'm not sure if so many people are using DMSA on this site, but because it works? I think this is why word gets around and more people wind up trying it out for themselves. As long as it's used correctly, it can be of great help to a person as a starter to begin reducing blood mercury levels.

I recommend you read this link through and familiarise yourself with Andy Cutler, his protocol and the chelating agents themselves and what they do and why it's recommended they be used according to what Cutler has prescribed.

DMSA reduces the blood levels of mercury and then later, you can move onto ALA (alpha lipoic acid)which reduces organ/brain mercury. You can take ALA by itself, or if it helps more, you can take it WITH DMSA. But only AFTER blood levels have been reduced first, which takes about 3 months following amalgam removal or other mercury exposure.

ALA is a more powerful chelator than DMSA and can penetrate the blood brain barrier and remove brain mercury. It also removes organ mercury. But again, it must be used no earlier than 3 months or so post amalgam removal. Again, it should be used according to Cutler's protocol for safety and effectiveness.

There are plenty of products and protocols out there, but I personally feel this is one of the most tried/tested/safe protocol I have come across that uses strong chelating agents that have a tight grip on the mercury enough to be used to remove the mercury.

It is of course up to you which way you wish to do things in the end. But this is just a recommendation based on personal experience and seeing results/testimonies of others.

Yes The Ear Ringing Tinnitus, ((( Smiles )))

I have that but mine could have started from noise or viral ect..
I have 8 merc fillings in my mouth from childhood ect.
I have no idea if it was a long time comeing about thing for me and my fillings made me more vunerable to it overtime or any flu shot's I had pre T.
What cause's theses vunerablitys/ predispostions to come about.
But it makes me wonder???
Why me as..
I went through severe to profound Hyperacusis at one time.
But I did have a flu shot early on with my tinnitus because..
I was worried about getting sicker and my tinnitus did get worse.
I had no idea about the mercury ect..
In thoses flu shots back then what a big mistake looking back on it.
Live & learn.
But have had no flu shots since then.
And my tinnitus is alot better now & it was really bad back then.
And sometimes I don't even hear it or it's so very low.
I took alot of supplements and also underwent Chineses medicine cooking herbs & acupunture treatments and that might have helped me in doing that.
I think the natural body healing treatments do help.
Building ones system in a more natural non harmfull way.
But my children were takeing a chelator by mouth and because it pass's through the gut and can possibly cause yeast.
We switched by our Doctors suggestion to the rectal way.
Can it also be ordered rectal somehow??
I think a person could get it made rectally but it may only be by prescription only..
I'm not totally sure how that works as we get ours through an M.D..
I've never used it before only my children have as they do have mercury ect in their system.
And gut/yeast can be a problem too..

Thanks so much for your response. I may take the pectasol any way. Based on the information on this site I am taking DMSA. The ear ringing has reduced significantly, though still there, and I have only done my first 3 days of it.

I still would like to know what the protocols are for DMPS, TAKING IT TRANSDERMALLY.

I did notice my throat tightening with this DMSA on my first 3 days. i have read testimonials where this worsens, and then some have moved on to DMPS and felt a release in the throat. Does ALA help with that? Can anyone make a suggestion? I like the feeling of the mercury being removed from my ears, back and extremeties, eyes, etc.

Thanks for this site, as my doctor suggested 50 mg of DMSA every 8 hours, which would have made me very ill as I have a child llike constitution. So 12.5 every 4 hours is ideal for me. Though I don't like the throat thing.

Did you ever do DMSA or are you only doing natural and herbal sollutions?

I do do accupuncture for organ support.

Dmps they were using it for a long time under the care of a DAN doctor.
Now they no longer use that but are using natural supplements from their DAN doctor.
The doctor feels the chelation treatments have run their course.
One was using the IV chelation method with 3 days of rectal following each treatment. The other only rectal.
With more testing the doctor may renew the rectal if indicated or if we really pushed it but they are on some new anti- inflammatory supplements and with some new findings on autism some different testing will be done soon.
This doctor takes courses.
I have had accupunture treaments before with my health condition and it was very helpful for me.
I am like cured now with some limitations but have been like cured for some time now.
I take some anti- inflammatories as well.
I have mercury in my teeth still and down to two dentists that I am deciding which one I want to take them out.
It depends on how they do it.
Plus I can hardly hear my tinnitus at times too and it is doing pretty good.
Would like it to stay that way in the process of taking them out the metal.
