CPS: The New SS in Texas

...if SB 1064 is signed into law.

This bill is on the governors desk NOW and being considered without media attention and without public debate. Of course we all support kids that suffer true abuse- but sadly many kids do even worse in foster care.
If this bill becomes law- CPS can take children out of a loving home on a false allegation without court order. The parents would have no legal protection if this evil UNCONSTITUTIONAL bill becomes law.

...the bill was substituted in committee for a very different SB 1064, which was passed out of the Senate and sent to the House. The new SB 1064 gave the court authority to force parents to give CPS access to the child and/or transport the child for "interview, examination and investigation," without a court hearing or notice to the parent. Worst of all, the language in the current statute that requires CPS to prove "good cause shown" was stricken. Thus this bill would allow CPS, during an investigation in which the parents would not waive their 4th amendment rights, entrance into their home, access to medical or mental health records of their children or transportation of the child, on the simple filing of an affidavit by a CPS worker with no hearing or opportunity for the parents or their legal counsel to present their case.

Think about it- a government agency with a history of corruption would have the right to take kids away from parents on the word of the caseworker alone. As someone who used to work in social services- I am utterly horrified and you should be too. There is also, apparently, financial incentives to take kids out of homes and put them into the adoption system.

That is ridiculous, and really pisses me off. This is going on everywhere. There is stuff like this popping up all the time. So many things going on right now that are unconstitutional, and a CRIME against humanity. It is all sick.

I personally, have an ex-bf that went against the state of KS to try and get his kids back, after their mother put them in harms way. The oldest boy was raped, by another boy, while in the children's home. This is while they were "supposedly" being supervised. Both of his kids were put up for adoption, while he was trying to get them back. He is a good father, and this shouldn't have happened.

Now, 8 years later, the youngest has been adopted by someone, and no one knows where he is. The older one is now 16, and he just finally is back with his dad, as of a couple of weeks ago. 8 years in the system!!! Plus, his dad had to ADOPT his own son back.

OMG! This just really irritates me. I sign every petition I can find, against this stuff.
