Well how does ALA grab it out of your body and carry it out without anything else? Wouldn't that be like Garlic or Chlorella there? Did he just study ALA and nothing else and say if was safe and nothing else is nearly as safe?

I agree his is studied and worked for many, thats a cold hard fact. Why would not Cilantro work as well though? He says little study is done on it so stear clear, vbut what if it is better for some and just as effective. I guess most don't now because it is not as studied as ALA from him and others.

Because ALA, like DMSA, are not merely "mobilisers" or "absorbers", they are strong chelating agents in and of themselves and grab hold of the mercury more tightly. Taking both together maybe even more effective.

I think he has looked at other things Sean. He also experimented alot on himself before trying it on others. Plus his ongoing observations of the victims of mercury and what has mostly helped them or hurt them.

His view of cilantro, if I recall was that he does not understand enough about how to use it in order to give somebody a proper protocol to follow. He admits however that some people may do ok on it and for others who can't get or don't like ALA, they maybe able to use cilantro. But he's cautious. He's just stating that he does not understand enough how it works in order to create a protocol that might reduce/prevent redistribution. If he does not understand how to use something properly, then he does not have the confidence to openly recommend it and risk people have back lashes and then blaming him for suggesting it.

Either way, I seem to recall that it is another chelator that should be used only when blood levels have first been reduced. Some don't agree, but there you go.

You get all over the net it's Chlorella, Algin or Cilantro too, so I guess some have gotten better off that right? Zeolite too, which apparently does not released it and takes it out. So many questions, I guess the answer is with you!

I feel bugged out and crazy in the morning off so many things, Kelp. Selenium (Which Cutler says is a GO) and other things, I feel bad and dizzy and anxiety and crazy thoughts! I guess I am still very toxic but from what? Did I not get it out fully on my first few years of Chlorella and Garlic or are their other things now adding to it and making it worse? I feel worse alot of times now doing what I usually did.

Yes, you get alot of that over the net and elsewhere. Also random and high use of DMSA is another one. And there are those who have been harmed by such promoted/popular methods. Simply because something has been found to move/mobilise mercury, does not mean it's the way to go. Andy has discovered there is a way to move mercury that does NOT have to cause a person so much risk.

There is no need, when you have a protocol that reduces redistribution to tolerate out of control symptoms to start getting better. I was under the impression that no pain? No gain. Well some of that might be true to a point, but intolerable pain to the point of becoming almost psychotic? No. I didn't know this until Cutler.

So just because something is promoted, does not always mean it's the right method, so it's wise to hear people's own experience/testimonies to get a more accurate idea.

And like I said, if people do well on products like chlorella and cilantro? That's great. But I'm just stating to be careful because I've heard enough bad reports too.

I can take something now and feel horrible, from bugs dying off in me or Candida die offs or metals, which is is? Noobody knows I guess there, but I feel seriously bad off several things and I know it's not a GO.

Where does Cutler say selenium is a "GO"? I haven't seen him recommend kelp either. Let me know where he said this.

What I have read is Cutler suggests Selenium is optional for those who tolerate it. And he recommends selenomethione as being better tolerated than other types like sodium selenite for example. For those that don't tolerate selenium? Then he suggests not to use it.

You're likely still very mercury toxic Sean. Just a guess. When you are, it's really easy to feel worse from almost anything. Takes years to detox this stuff. And feeling worse is part of the process. It's like some sickening roller coaster ride. Just when you get a good patch, you get sucked back under. That was my experience anyway.

The bottom line is there is no bottom line, there is not sure thing for anyone and you have to try for you and just see what works well and makes the less symptoms and go with it Bex. I have never used ALA nor will soon, but it truly might work and I might need to do it again one day. What if there is still metals hidden though in my mouth? Then I make myself alot worse doing just that correct? Root canals too? I had one or so, what if they still get me? So many questions, damn I HATE THIS.

The title of this thread was "need your detox advice". So aren't we free to give our advice on what we've learned and what has helped us? And that is what I am doing! I'm not here to promote falsey or condemn unfairly.

Bottom line (for me) was the Cutler protocol worked. I'm not stating that just because it worked for me, means it'll work for everybody else. NO, I'm recommending it because of it's track record and testimonies. I really cannot be clearer than this! I was asked for advice? I answered to the best of my knowledge.

If it doesn't work for somebody? Ok. But it's a very solid/tried/tested avenue to try and one might be very wise to give it a good trial run before condemning it. Doubts/cynicism may prove unfounded if one actually goes through with it.

You can get a panoramic xray to check for any remaining amalgam if you are concerned Sean. It may not be absolutely PERFECT, but it's pretty darned good.

I know it's very difficult when it's not just amalgam that you're working against. Root canals, cavitations etc etc. All these hidden sources of toxicity/infection. Drives me nuts too! I know these can devastate a person's health also. I'm pretty certain it was Hal Huggins who admitted that such people can be more toxic even than the amalgam poisoned ones.

If you can at some point, you may want to look at having the root canals removed or "redone". Apparently there is now a biocompatible way of doing them, but I'm not certain enough about it. I'd suggest checking these links out:

I think that as long as you do not have heavy metals like mercury remaining? You should be ok to chelate. As long as you feel it helps. But if the root canals are posing a constant source of toxicity? You may find this more of a challenge than other people. In some cases, hidden infection/toxins can hinder proper response to detox/chelation. That's what I've heard from Cutler and I think Huggins too.

Keeping candida at bay can also make chelation easier (as I'm sure you know). I had major gut issues when I was chelating and had candida at the sametime. WHOA! Not good.
