Garlic does not harm acidophilus. "When garlic and L. acidophilus were added to the BEC together, a synergistic effect on the inhibition of candidal attachment occurred but if cinnamon was combined with L. acidophilus (which had been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of this bacteria) the opposite effect was observed."
