Did it take you long to figure it , or was it just automatic? Some people really have a knack for mathematical equations Hi Abishag, It took me about 20 minutes. I tried a few different approaches that went nowhere before I tried solving in the manner I posted above. When you have inequalities, you can sometimes "box in" your problem into a small number of possible answers. Thanks for the puzzle.. It was fun working with this one. Also thanks for the special 'Word' in French. Denis
