Exercise also causes a redistribution of metals, which is why it needs to be done in moderation. This maybe why you have experienced a worsening of symptoms. You should be careful with exercise. Although it is beneficial, when it comes to metals, one must be careful.
However, leaving the metals alone isn't the answer either, so a certain amount of redistribution is unavoidable when moving it, even when using the Cutler protocol. The key to Cutler's protocol is to reduce redistribution as much as possible, whilst getting the metals OUT.
I'm very sorry that you are experiencing these symptoms, but I do know them well and can relate to your feelings.
Can you tell me when you started the ALA and what dose you are on and what regime? I am assuming you are taking it every 3 hours around the clock?
Also it takes a long time to improve or recover from mercury poisoning. Even the best protocol will not be a quick fix from this condition. You will help your progress by dietry/supplementary support also. I would keep the exercise up, but I'd do it more moderately. I always found walking on a treadmill was the best for me. It wasn't too strenuous, but enough to get things moving. And usually I have a day of rest inbetween. It helps my body recover and gather energies for healing. If I exercise everyday, I tend to get worse again.
