Thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I didn't mean to cause trouble ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I was just having a bad day yesterday so more sensitive than usual.
From what I've read, all essential amino acids can be got from plant and dairy, but it can mean good meal planning - something I am pretty bad at! I need to improve my diet. Vegetarians can be low in lysine, but that green beans, lentils and spinach are good sources. I've also read that the body actually breaks plant protein down a lot better than animal protein.
I understand if some people go back to eating meat, everyone has to do what is right for them and their health. I've had to go back on dairy, despite my desire to be a vegan. I don't intend to eat meat, though, so I guess only time will tell if I can detox successfully.
