First round at 12.5 went great, about to hit 4th day now. I don't want to say things improved because that could be placebo, and desperate people will believe anything.
Next round up to 25 mg?

Hi Ziggen,
I would do 12.5 mg for a few more chelating rounds yet. A round is about 3 days or more. So I'd do a few more 3 day rounds before deciding to increase to 25 mg. Sometimes the symptoms can hit a person in another round.
So to be sure, it's usually recommended to use the same dose for about 4-5 rounds before being sure enough to increase.
It sounds promising already and you maybe fine to try 25 mg at this stage, but just be aware of the increase in symptoms that can sometimes hit in later rounds.

If you can, try to stretch out the round to 5 days. Are you using DMSA or ALA? You could try 25 mg next time, as 12.5 mg of DMSA or ALA is a very tiny dosage.

It's DMSA and im doing 4 of 4 off. Yeah thanks for the advice I'll keep it at 12.5 for a few more. I can never tell anymore anyways, what feeling good or worse is to be honest. All a blur.

4 days on and 4 days off sounds good. You can extend it if you want to try longer rounds at the same dose.
25 mg is a reasonable dose. I found I was fine on that with DMSA. 50 mg was a bit much for me in hindsight. And once I used to do that for one week on and one week off. And seriously, by about the 4th day I was feeling REALLY revolting. Sometimes I had to stop the round earlier than a week. But I never got the pscyho symptoms I got from other protocols - so to me this proved Andy's method because I was one of those very sensitive and poisoned people.
Thankfully Andy has made his protocol more flexible in dose and length of rounds for those more poisoned/compromised. So people are using much lower doses and for shorter time periods to match their needs/tolerance. Some may only be able to chelate on weekends if they have a busy schedule the rest of the week.

If you try 25 mg and can't finish the round, then you could go back to 12.5 mg for the next round. It is up to you. If you go too slow though, it might take much longer to see progress. Since DMSA is expensive compared to ALA, some take twice as much ALA as DMSA. If you had your amalgams replaced recently though, you might want to use just DMSA for a while before adding ALA.

You can use algin with anything. Some worry that algin and other seaweeds might be contaminated with heavy metals. I guess you need to be careful that it is properly tested.
One other thing. DMSA is best taken on an empty stomach, as food will decrease the absorption.

I would wait until you see how you feel a day after you stop chelation. If you don't have any bad symptoms then, I would consider trying 25mg the next round. The day after I stop chelating is usually when I can tell how much happened in that round.

I read somewhere a post that claims that those who chelate with both ALA and DMSA together would get much less day after side effects by taking just DMSA at the last dosage of the chelation round. Does this make sense? There are so many different variations when chelating with both ALA and DMSA. Some seem to do well using twice as much ALA as DMSA.

I personally use a whole day of DMSA only at the end of my chelation round to mop up any mercury pulled up from the ALA. It does work in my opinion.
