lol. Well, my attempts with drugs failed because I got so ill after their use (much worse candida, but then I didn't recognise what the heck was wrong) and I look back now and I'm glad of it! I hate to imagine otherwise - I tend to do nothing or do things in excess (which includes diet). Something I'm trying to "moderate".
With a mind that is not affected by toxicities etc, I cannot imagine what one might be capable of achieving within their own abilities. When you get a patch of it, you get an idea.
Ohh, ok, I remember now about the chelation. Sorry my memory is absolute garbage at the moment. I too am trying to get myself into a position for chelation, but the probiotics messed that up. I actually see no sign of recovery either. It's distressing. I've regressed to the point where I feel as bad as I did before I ever did a candida diet. Yet I'm still on the diet.
By the way - selenium made me nuts when I had bad candida. I started responding better to it after I was on the diet for long enough. I don't know if there is a connection, but that's how it was for me....I could barely tolerate it beforehand.
Sometimes moving the mercury in a safe manner (cutler style) has been known to undo some redistribution reactions caused by other products or other protocols. DMSA is a good one to do that. Not sure about ALA, as it doesn't really suppress symptoms. DMSA is pretty good to clear things out again if you've messed up. Problem is, it doesn't work for me now because the mercury is obviously not in the areas where DMSA can grab it. So I can take it in big doses for days with no reaction. Nothing! May as well be drinking water.
May try it again sometime though if I use ALA and find it causes too many symptoms.
