Wake up, feel ok, get some things done. Hurry here comes the nausea. Yep there it is. Totally out of it, zone on the computer for 4 hours. Start coming to again, walk around and get some more things done. Now it's back, sick again and can't do anything but sit on the comp.

Over and over and over.

Anyone else feel like this? Oh, and the good waves are just small glimpses of what it was like the be healthy and that's such a refreshing (but shortlasting) feeling.

YES!!! And sometimes it can shift and you can get into another pattern. I've had it for years. I still get it now, though for a few different reasons. No doubt partly mercury still.

Treating candida has helped, but things very easily go wrong. If I do or take anything that may not be suitable for me personally, all hell can break loose and for a long time following. I dont' bounce back.

HOpefully for you, the chelation will begin to clear the mercury so you may get more of the better patches that will hopefully last longer as time goes on. Some stability will hopefully return.

People know when I'm at my worst, because I'm on the computer so much. I just sit because I can hardly do anything else. I also find it hard to take things in. I find it hard and at times almost impossible to read a book and I find I read something over and over and I'm trying to make sense of it, even though to others it's easily understood.

The sensation of sheer stupidity and loss of short term memory are big issues. I have to repeat my questions to people because I can often not remember what they just said. It's embarrassing.

you have no idea how much this is helping me right now, stuck in this hell and to have words on a screen that relate, and make sense, for once. Yes, same here, all I can do is sit on the frigging computer. My place is absolutely trashed, that part of the brain that makes a person decide to clean their living quarters has been absent for me for 7 mos. now.

Did you drink while on DMSA? Usually alcohol really takes the edge off but not sure if I can mix it just starting this stuff.

How do I know if I have candida?

It's good that you can get on here at least and gain "some" comfort from others who can relate to you. You need this for sure! Mercury toxicity is tormenting and unrelenting when you are seriously poisoned enough.

Yes, I have the same problem with tidying. I don't consider myself a natural slob, but if one took a look at my living environment, they might consider otherwise. I walk past my mess to sit in a chair or lie down. It's not a good way to live, but it's simply the least of my concerns I guess. My mind doesn't motivate me to do the usual and actually get off my rear end and clean and tidy. The RARE occassion I do it and I must force myself to go through the motions. But it's a daily grind just to get up in the morning.

No, I didn't drink whilst chelating or other times (except occassions, which I inevitably got drunk). I am well aware of the effects alcohol can have on mercury toxic people. It can indeed take the edge of things, but I'd be careful with this. As it could readily become a crutch!

I am not sure about the mix of alcohol with DMSA chelation....it maybe ok but somebody more informed on this would be better to answer you.

Candida usually comes with the territory of mercury. Everybody has yeast inside their body, but the problem occurs when the body's immunity is depressed/challenged and can no longer keep yeast in balance. Mercury is a common cause of candida, not only because of its effect on immunity, but apparently candida tends to flourish around toxic metals. Perhaps it's a mechanism of trying to buffer the metal? However, the problem is when it grows even beyond that point and becomes an illness in and of itself.

So combine that with an already mercury toxic body and it can be disastrous as it was in my case. I was so toxic with mercury and candida, I nearly took my own life. Sorry to be dramatic, but that's the truth. Treating candida took the edge of my severe toxicity and gave me just enough increased health to keep going. Took the edge off my anxiety/depression and lifted my immunity.

I was then able to easier cope with the mercury (and other problems).

Tests for candida are apparently pretty unreliable. I usually checked it out by looking at symptoms and doing a candida diet trial. Once I did the diet, it was obvious I had massive overgrowth as the toxins that started to come out of me as the overgrowth was being reduced by a body better equipped with nutrients and less feeding of the candida with sugars/glutens in the diet. It took a few weeks before I started noticing changes. It was worth every bit of the temporary cravings and withdrawal/detox I had to go through to get there.

Candida can cause many similar symptoms to mercury and the both of them can be easily confused. Just google candida symptoms and you may find you relate to many of them, but it's hard to differentiate which is mercury or candida caused....they both tend to make the other worse and offset eachother.

A candida diet might typically be the following:

No sugar, wheat/gluten products, honey, fruit (except lemons/tomatoes), alcohol, coffee, milk/cream. You may also have to reduce or eliminate high carbohydrate vegtables too like potatoes/corn/peas/beans/carrots etc.

It's about reducing overall sugar intake (including natural sugars) and boosting immunity with good foods like protein in eggs/meats/chicken/eggs and consuming more animal fats like butter. Hal Huggins suggested a diet for those suffering with candida that was similar to this with the necessary animal protein intake and good fats.

Low carb vegetables are safe. Raw nuts and acidophilus sugar free yoghurt maybe ok too. It depends on how serious a person has this as to how strict they will need to be. But it can make a really big difference to health.

YES, good thread. BTW I drink but be careful with alcohol and drinking too much, get a buzz or whatever but don't drink enough to get hungover, this and a hangover can push some over the edge and you feel horrible (Plus Candida too), anxiety and panic attacks and can't hardly breath etc., I learned years ago to not do too much, since I was around 25 or so. I used to get drunk as anything lol, when I was younger I could party three nights in a row and still recover the next day or night. Candida Diet as Bex said will help, Candida can cause alot of symptoms Mercury does and they can be confused with one another, sometimes just getting Candida down is enough for me to feel great and live good again. I would look into oral oxygen too as a product called Oxyflush by phoenix nutritionals, it's buffered oral oxygen (Peroxide food grade) in a buffer of Noni and aloe juic, easier on the stomach and mixed well so you won't overdue it. Watch his video too if you find that site on Candida, he has studied it for 20 years and this stuff is one of the only things he found to work (Dr. Whiting). I talk to him alot too on the phone, who else would do that for free? Not someone just trying to sell something.

In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

HAHHAA BEX me too! I can have such trouble concentrating or thinking sometimes it's crazy! Just as if you have smog in your brain and it's impossible to get things no matter how much you read it over and over. Sometimes it's effortless, but if it were school and things I was not really interested in then forget it, I could read it ten times and then just give up. This stuff ruined my college, I would get so frustrated trying to learn and think what is going on with me? I did not get it, now I do and know what it was. This sucks because I am very smart and could have been so much more, what would have been in life now? It's Gods plan though, so I won't argue it. Maybe I will prosper later on.

Yes, same thing. All through school, difficulty concentrating. Excessive day dreaming, unable to understand, unable to take in information, let alone retain it. I also had problem with excessive giggling spells, which would hit at inappropriate moments (still get this and have to leave the room). Accused of drug taking because of it. Yet I'd taken nothing. I really was this naturally idiotic, either that or possibly mercurial!

When I had amalgams, I also had permanently dilated pupils, so this did not help the suspecting me of taking something. The dilated pupils by the way went away right after last amalgam removal. So that was definitely something unusual and noticeable, as well as almost immediate weight loss (or bulk/fluid).

So yeah I share the frustration in regards to thinking. You know that it's there, the ability, but somehow it's fogged up by a cloud. I feel like I"m trying to think through a blanket. And some of the stuff I come out with reflects just that wink

Candida/mercury, lots of things can hinder a person. Physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually. For me as a believer, I can tell you that it affects my inner most being profoundly to where I sincerely feel NOTHING, like a dead person walking around. I find it hard to pray and I often do not recognise the wonder of the world around me. LIke looking at it through a filthy windscreen. Colours etc, are just dull. Going through the motions is at times a big part of my day.

Sean, have you tried ALA chelation according to Cutler's protocol?

LOL if I was giggling in high school it was because of being high off weed lol, I would use that alot in high school and everything seemed funny to me when I was high, and yes I really was wink. I in college though I did not use drugs but still failed because of the reading thing, could not concentrate, in 01 it got that much worse and I could not think clear when reading at all and I failed the CPU class twice, even by a little bit with some studying, intelligence alone almost got me by, but I did not know a thing about CPU's just what I had read and almost passed off of that. Can you imagine me on someones CPU if I passed? I just knew what I read but it all still was rocket science to me and I was cloudy as hell, if I passed it I would ruin your CPU lol. This is not funny but I make light out of it, there is still time and time to fix things! Always HOPE BEX! As long as we are here we can fix things, we are just more challenged than others and if we overcome we can do anything! Candida first for me! Then the metals, keep it up and GOD BLESS!

Bex after trying Kelp and Selenium I am not ready at all for Chelation, those made me nuts! I woke up early and felt like I was in a padded room! My strong mind kept me out of that padded room. I will do CANDIDA first, then try the others after that, period end of story.

lol. Well, my attempts with drugs failed because I got so ill after their use (much worse candida, but then I didn't recognise what the heck was wrong) and I look back now and I'm glad of it! I hate to imagine otherwise - I tend to do nothing or do things in excess (which includes diet). Something I'm trying to "moderate".

With a mind that is not affected by toxicities etc, I cannot imagine what one might be capable of achieving within their own abilities. When you get a patch of it, you get an idea.

Ohh, ok, I remember now about the chelation. Sorry my memory is absolute garbage at the moment. I too am trying to get myself into a position for chelation, but the probiotics messed that up. I actually see no sign of recovery either. It's distressing. I've regressed to the point where I feel as bad as I did before I ever did a candida diet. Yet I'm still on the diet.

By the way - selenium made me nuts when I had bad candida. I started responding better to it after I was on the diet for long enough. I don't know if there is a connection, but that's how it was for me....I could barely tolerate it beforehand.

Sometimes moving the mercury in a safe manner (cutler style) has been known to undo some redistribution reactions caused by other products or other protocols. DMSA is a good one to do that. Not sure about ALA, as it doesn't really suppress symptoms. DMSA is pretty good to clear things out again if you've messed up. Problem is, it doesn't work for me now because the mercury is obviously not in the areas where DMSA can grab it. So I can take it in big doses for days with no reaction. Nothing! May as well be drinking water.

May try it again sometime though if I use ALA and find it causes too many symptoms.
