Hi Ziggen,

You're welcome. Yes, 12.5 mg is a good dose to start (nice and low) and taking it every 4 hours, 5 days on with 5 days off as a break sounds reasonable to me.

Some people take it for 3 days and have 3 (or more) days off, it can vary. So long as you are taking it for more than 2 days and probably no longer than a week. E.g. one week on and one week off is probably the longest, but due to broken sleep (from waking up to take doses) and the stress of chelation, for some it maybe a bit too much.

andy's book can be indeed very confusing. I only read the pages that made any sense to me, which was just about the chelation. However, even that has changed somewhat, since he's been made aware that some people are far too toxic to handle his 50 mg recommendation and the week on, week off, chelation periods. So he's made things more flexible by suggesting a much lower dose to start and less time period spent on the chelator. You adjust according to your needs.

If you find 12.5 mg is ok and you don't have a problem with it, you could do a few more rounds and then increase the dose. But make sure you do about 4-5 rounds before deciding to up the dose, as sometimes symptoms do not always show up immediately or even on the first round.
