Hi Ziggen,
I'm sorry to hear of this and I'd say it is most certainly amalgam related. You have had a lot of amalgam removed in a short period of time. How many did you have taken out in one session? Did you have protection during removal (did you go to a biologic dentist)?
There are many reason why you will feel like you're going to die. Increased exposure to mercury vapor during removals, if you have not had full protection and/or possibly too many taken out in a short period of time that your body may not have been prepared for.
Next, Chlorella for some people can be a disaster. Some can do well, others can get VERY VERY ill when using it. I found it unstable and simply mobilised my mercury all over the place, causing me great distress. So I would probably avoid taking this again.
I can relate to your post about the daily perpetual hell and the sense it just goes on and on and on. And it does, because mercury toxicity can cause tremendous suffering and it is not easy or fast to cure. I would encourage you to get yourself on a good diet (if you're not already) and avoid sugars/wheat/gluten/yeast. Even eliminating these and products containing them can start to make a difference in a very toxic person. Doing that alone was helpful to me with mercury poisoning. Very helpful.
Next, I would start taking supportive supplements, as your body will be depleted with what the mercury is doing. Antioxidants are VERY important. Get a good quality Vitamin C (powdered form with bioflavanoids contained)and take around 1000 - 2000 mg, about 3-4 times per day (regular dosing is much more effective), vitamin E (about 400 IU, once or twice per day), selenium (selenomethione would be a better tolerated form)(approximately 100 mcg or so per day), zinc, magnesium/calcium (equal ratios if you can). A B complex supplement (with even amounts of each if you can)(if you can take it 3-4 times, even better, but you might have to split the tablet up) and/or an overall multi vitamin/mineral supplement to act as a foundation and covering all basic needs.
The diet and supplements are a great support foundation to begin with. Diet is highly important because the body is reliant upon it to build itself up and support detoxing. Increased toxicity through foods containing sugars/glutens etc, can make a bad situation far worse.
Next, I would then highly recommend to you to read up on the Andrew Cutler protocol for mercury detox. There is a book I would recommend of his called "amalgam Illness, Diagnosis and Treatment", which is one of the best books on this toxicity that I have read. Here it is
http://herballure.com/Products/AmalgamIllness_DiagnosisAndTreatment/index.html So much information to help you get this poison out of your body and brain and in a manner that is logical, safer than many other protocols and effective.
The method starts like this. In the early stages of toxicity - you get yourself a product called "DMSA". DMSA chelates mercury. It chelates extra cellular mercury (mercury on the outside of cells). This is the first one to use to bring blood/tissue levels of mercury down.
It's a good idea to start off with a low dose first, as too high a dose may cause too many symptoms. Andy's recommendation in the book is 50 mg - but he now realises this is too high for many people. Some have to start as low as 12.5 mg or even 6 mg.
So you take the amount that suits you e.g. - 12.5 mg. And take it EVERY FOUR HOURS AROUND THE CLOCK. The reason for this regime is to keep the blood levels of the DMSA consistent. If you take a dose later than 4 hours, the DMSA in the blood has already dropped. So when you take a late dose, the levels spike back up again suddenly. This can cause erratic movement of mercury. So in order to keep the movement of mercury more stable and consistent, the doses of DMSA must be every 4 hourly. Including during the night. So you need an alarm clock.
You do this for about 3 days straight (or up to a week if you wish). Then you stop and take a break of about the same amount of time you spent on it. Then you repeat this over and over. E.g. 3 days on, 3 days off. 7 days on, 7 days off. Or similar. You can take more days off if you need to - e.g. 3 days on, 5 days off.
This is done for approximately 3 months. After that time, body levels of mercury (blood) will be reduced enough for you to start chelating the organ/brain mercury with alpha lipoic acid (ALA). You can use ALA alone, or WITH DMSA. But ALA is essential apparently because it removes organ mercury. DMSA does not remove organ mercury to any clinical degree. So it's safe to use early on. ALA is not safe to use early on, because if blood levels of mercury are still high, it can risk taking that into the brain with it (ALA passes into the brain).
If the blood levels are reduced first? The ALA is safe to use and will chelate brain mercury.
You will need to do this for many months until you are well.
This is just a very basic outline of it all. I would recommend you get the book if you can and read it often. Get yourself familiar with the protocol.
I really believe that diet, supplementary support, and a good chelation protocol are essential to recovery. There are other things you may also need like hormonal support too, as mercury mucks up so many things in our body, that this is why we feel so bad with it. It's not so much the direct effect of mercury, it is what it does. And that includes the fact it can cause a yeast imbalance in the body (candida). Which can be aided also by the diet.
Please consider doing these things to get yourself on the road to recovery. Don't be overwhelmed by everything I've stated here. Just take it step by step.
I hope that this is helpful to you.
