Hi, this is my first post. Could someone tell me if the supplements I'm taking are OK? I was diagnosed with amalgam poisoning by my naturopathic doctor through muscle testing in November '08 after having a heart arrthymia begin in March of last year. Two days ago (Feb. 18th) my biological dentist removed 4 of my 8 fillings. The arrthymia went away for the day but returned. My other 4 will be removed on March 26th. This is what I am taking: Parotid PMG (8 tablets--increases each month) Vit. C w/ Bioflavonoids (3,000 mg) Multiple Actyl L-Carnetine (250 mg) & Alpha Lipoic Acid (250 mg) Parent Essential Oils proprietary Blend (1,450 mg) Magnesium Oxide (250 mg) Sea Bed Montmorillonite (900 mg) Volcanic Montmorillonite (100 mg) I don't have any MD support (tried 3 to no avail). My naturopathic doctor said the parotid would be the best as it's the most natural as opposed to DMSA--I don't even know how to get ahold of it. I'm also feeling a heaviness or dark cloud descending on me--anything out there for that? Any thoughts would be appreciated! (I have most of the mercury books out there including Andy Cutler's.)

Katiee, stop taking this supplement right away - Alpha Lipoic Acid (250 mg)
This will make you sicker. Alpha lipoic acid is not safe to take when you have mercury fillings in your mouth, and will result in more mercury in your brain.
6 months after getting your final amalgams removed...you can start taking low doses of alpha lipoic acid following the Cutler protocol which consists of taking a very small dose (something like 12.5 mg or even lower) every 3 hours (including nights) for 3 days. It will help remove mercury from your brain and organs when taken this way...but any other way it can make you severely worse.
Bex posted some links about Andy Cutler above, please read them and stop taking Alpha Lipoic Acid immediately.

Also beware of essential oils. While some are relatively safe in small dosages, such as cinnamon and ginger, even peppermint can be toxic in anything but a small dosage. Certain essential oils such as eucalyptus and tea tree oil are in some formulations, yet these should never be taken internally. I use some essential oils(cinnamon, ginger, peppermint, oregano) however I use them in very small quantities(typically just 3 drops of each at a time once or twice a day mixed well in some water or coconut oil). Which essential oils are in the formula you are taking? How much of the mix do you take?

The essential oil blend is the following: Organic Evening Primrose Oil and/or Organic High Linoleic Safflower Oil, and/or High Kinoleic sunflower Oil; Organic Flax Oil; Organic or wildcrated Pumpkin Oil; Organic Extra virgin coconut Oil. It doesn't break down the blend, only gives a cumulative blend of 1,450 mg. which are 2 capsules. That is what I take per day. I do apply other 'essential' oils from Young Living...Peace and Calming at night, Aroma Life because of my heart, Valour...

The Actyl L-Carnetine & alpha Lipoic Acid are combined, so I won't take it. But what I really would like to know is about the Parotid PMG, I haven't found posts on it and my Dr. said this was more natural/safe than taking the DMSA? But the holistic dentist I went to said he took the DMSA because his mercury case was more severe. (We see the same Doctor). Besides that question, what do I need to be taking while I wait for the other fillings to be removed next month?
