I have increased symptoms after eating too. I don't know what to do about it, though!

Leland, from what I have read, perhaps chewing vaporizes some mercury off your teeth and it is absorbed by your system. I find that my symptoms are the WORST when I get up in the morning. My new dentist informed me (news to me) that I grind my teeth while sleeping. This would explain symptoms upon awakening, so, I imagine that chewing causes symptoms too.

If it's not the chewing. It could be candida. I used to feel awful after certain foods -- anything that my system had to work at breaking down -- sheapard's pie really got to me a while back.
If you're experience affects after eating surely it'd relate to bowl health? I certainly felt better when I went on a fruit and meat diet (this was when i had my fillings in). The purpose of that diet was to remove carbohydrates from the diet and all processed food -- a similar diet, minus the fruit, is recommeded for candida. As far as sorting out your gut and possibly killing the candida -- if that is the problem -- i've found probiotics (acidophilus --i use tablets but most yogurts use them thesedays) and garlic (tablet form) helps a lot. Garlic is a powerful anti-fungal agent, and good for many other things.
That's the only thing I can think of.

I agree with my fellow posters; Mercury is most likely offgassing at an increased rate due do the abrasive action of chewing removing micro-corrosion on the surface of the fillings which helps slow down offgassing. Heat?which can be transferred to the fillings from hot food?also increases offgassing, often dramatically.
I had an employee with a few amalgam fillings that suffered from several mercury-related issues so I suggested she stop chewing gum. Her health improved so much within days that she was completely astounded.

Hi, The symptoms you get are the same as I get from eating some foods (even many) and it's caused me a lot of distress. It reaches the point where I get afraid to eat anything because of the change in personality I get almost immediately. I develop fear, heart speeds up, nausea, some inner tremor and I get more blocked in the nose.
From what I have found out is. Mercury can cause chemical/food allergies and intolerances that can get out of control. This can be from interferring with the adrenal glands and/or causing leaky gut syndrome to where certain chemicals from food passes through the gut and into the blood stream and into the brain, directly upsetting the person and possibly making the mercury symptoms much worse at the sametime.
You have to actually be really careful with food, so you can at least control some of the symptoms while you detox the mercury, so you are a bit happier or more comfortable. Even if you have to fast for a while and add foods in bit by bit and watch for the reaction and simply do not eat them if they cause a problem. It can end up being a really boring restricted diet, but sometimes necessary in order to have "some" kind of coping and control while you get rid of the mercury that's doing it in the first place.
Once you get rid of enough mercury, those things will usually subside. Some of this is adrenal related also, but mercury can continue to cause problems regardless of what you do because alot of it ends up in the brain.
Also, if you're not already. A good idea to cope easier with mercury is to avoid sugar completely (a bit of fruit is ok), avoid yeast and gluten, so that your immune system gets healthier, and you can elminate some excess yeast/candida and your gut gets a bit healthier.
A book that has this info in it (re mercury/ food allergies/intolerance etc) among many other areas related to mercury is "amalgam illness, diagnosis and treatment" by andrew hall cutler. Highly recommend this book for covering all bases, including your concern.
Sorry for all the info, hope it's not overwhelming, just some pointers from stuff I have read and also experienced myself.
PS. I would not use an antifungal for ridding candida, I think from what I'm hearing/reading that it can split the cell walls open and any mercury/metals the candida happens have inside can be released back into your body repoisoning you. Some people can do this, but it's a risk I think. Starving candida out seems much safer and does help the body, without aggressivly killing candida on contact, it just simply gets weak/sick and dies, then gets disgarded by the body. This can cause symptoms in itself and make you sick for a time until the dead candida/toxins are cleared out. But worth it if it eliminates some symptoms and helps you cope better after it's over.
