I have to have my composites replaced in a few weeks as im highly allergic to the ones i have in my mouth and seeing as my dentist doesn't use diamondlite. Is there any way i can order it myself for him to use? Has anyone ever done this?!

If he is not used to using it, then he shouldn't use it. He will probably refuse to use it. If a dentist agrees to use it but isn't used to using it, then it might be handled improperly. Either use your dentist and what he usually uses, or find a new dentist that uses Diamondlite.

It's important to remember that although there are hundreds of dental filling materials, most of them fall into a small group of categories: - Amalgam
- BIS-GMA
- Methylacrylate
- Porcelain/Ceramic (aluminum-based)
- Gold/Copper

In Sanskrit, tulsi means literally "the incomparable one" and has been revered since ancient times. Tulsi, the holy basil, is said to have grown at the site of Christ’s crucifixion and is associated with St. Basil’s feast.

Hi Stuart, I suggest getting in touch with the dentist on this website: www.integrativedentalmedicine.comHe is in touch with other likeminded biologic dentists and he uses the Diamond products. He maybe able to help you or give you some advice on how to get hold of such materials and any information concerning their particular placement. I am pretty sure the company that makes them gives instructions to any dentist on how to place them properly. I think the company is or was "biodent". Any biologic dentist interested and concerned for his/her patient's wellbeing and mind being put at rest, will surely go the extra mile to cooperate with them - particularly when putting a material in their mouth that that patient is going to have to live with and also pay for financially. There is no reason why you should not be able to request particular materials that you feel more comfortable having in your mouth. I am certain there must be some way of getting such materials to your dentist with instructions included. The Diamond products consist of Diamond Crown, Diamond lite, Diamond link, and Diamond Bond. So you should be able to get the composite/lining/bonding material all in Diamond, if they are the ones that have shown to be compatible for you. Lining and bonding materials are important also, not just the composite.

I believe "composite" is an umbrella term that covers several classes of filling materials.
