I'm not sure if this applies but ever since my teen years (and mercury amalgam installation) I had painful shots of pain through my right knee a few times per week. It was extremely painful. I asked my step father about it (who is a physician) and he said that it was a "growth pain" and that it would go away eventually. Well, it never did. I experimented with this and found that the pain occurred much more frequently when I had sugar and/or caffeine. Finally, when I had my amalgams removed in July of 2000 the pain stopped. I am curious if this could be related to calcium mis-deposition due to mercury interference with magnesium, which is well-known. Just a thought.
