Hi Kathy, Yes. I have gone through this and also heard that healing continues going through cycles. It's not usually an uphill ascend to improvement, but rather an ongoing and at times distressing circle that seems never to end. It affects certain areas, then seems to move onto another, then another and it may start back again where it started. Whatever areas the mercury has poisoned, will usually become exaggerated as the body is trying to heal. Once your amalgams are out, there is often a worsening for many people and that I think can be because the body is no longer suppressed by the constant presence of amalgam and is free to deal with the problem. I remember I got very upset post amalgam removal, when things got even wore and I was in fact actively detoxing/healing. But I felt repoisoned. One excellent doctor well versed in mercury says this is common and he said that you were actually sicker before, but the body was unable to actively deal with the problem, whereas afterwards it starts to do so and the symptoms are exaggerated. I've heard it referred to as a roller coaster ride. Except I can't quite compare it to that, because sadly the process isn't fast like a roller coaster Though the up and down side of it is pretty accurate - though mine was often so slow, I'd stay ill in one area for a very long time before it would shift to something else. Very tough to tolerate. No sooner did I feel improvements, than I'd be pulled back down into suffering again. This continued over and over, until my body had eliminated enough mercury for more steady/long lasting improvements.
